Sensor - Parking Distance - Outer - Rear (HW3) (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- On the vehicle touchscreen, touch .
- On the vehicle touchscreen, touch to activate Jack Mode.
- Disconnect LV Power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).

Remove the clips (x2) that attach the rear portion of the rear fender garnish to the
wheel arch liner.

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the rear portion of the rear fender garnish to the
wheel arch liner.

Release the clips (x3) and tabs (x7) that attach the rear portion of the fender
garnish to the vehicle, and then carefully set the garnish aside.
- Remove the screw that attaches the rear fascia to the quarter panel.

Partially release the LH side of the rear fascia from the rear wing bracket.

Release the connector lock, and then
disconnect the rear outer parking distance sensor.
CAUTIONDO NOT push down on the red locking tab. Pull the tab away from the connector until the connector is unlocked, and then continue pulling to release the connector.

Release the tabs that attach the rear
outer parking distance sensor to the rear fascia assembly, and then remove the sensor
from the assembly.
Install

Install the rear outer parking
distance sensor on the rear fascia.
NoteVerify the sensor is seated flush to rear fascia.

Connect the rear outer parking
distance sensor, and then engage the locking tab.
CAUTIONPush the red locking tab into the connector to engage the locking mechanism. DO NOT push down or pull up on the red locking tab.

Install the LH side of the rear fascia on the rear wing bracket.

Install the screw that attaches the rear fascia to the quarter panel.

Position the rear portion of the fender garnish on the vehicle, and then install the
clips (x3) and tabs (x7) that attach the fender garnish to the vehicle.

Install the bolts (x2) that attach the
rear portion of the rear fender garnish to the wheel arch liner.

Install the clips (x2) that attach the rear portion of the rear fender garnish to the
wheel arch liner.

Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
NoteAfter connecting LV power, do not shift the vehicle to Drive until the Toolbox routine (further below) is performed. Failure to do so can trigger vehicle alerts.
- Hold the LH and RH upper B-pillar buttons in the "Close" position to manually calibrate the LH and RH rear doors.
- On the vehicle touchscreen, touch to deactivate Jack Mode.
- On the vehicle touchscreen, touch .
- Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
- In Toolbox, click the Actions tab, type TEST-RESET_PARKSearch for routine in ToolboxPARK UDS ECU Reset into the search field, click TEST-RESET_PARKSearch for routine in ToolboxPARK UDS ECU Reset, click Run, and then allow the routine to complete.
- In Toolbox, click the Actions tab, type "USS Addresses" into the search field, click PROC_USM_REAR_PROGRAM-USS-ADDRESSESSearch for routine in ToolboxProgram Rear Ultrasonic Sensor AddressesDriver Assist / Sensors - Program Rear USS, click Run, and then allow the routine to complete.
- Disconnect the laptop with Toolbox 3 from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
- Raise the front windows and close the LH front door.
