Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Open all the doors and lower the front windows.

Release the clips (x2) that attach the
instrument service panel to the instrument panel, and then remove the service panel from
the IP.
NoteRelease the top tabs, and then slide the service panel rearward.
- Open the hood.
- Move the driver seat forward.
- Move the LH 2nd row seat fully forward.
- Remove the LH rear sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).

Apply masking tape to the LH
racetrack.
- Repeat step 4 through step 7 for the RH side of the vehicle.
- Open the liftgate.
- Remove the RH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the RH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Repeat steps 10 and 11 for the LH side of the vehicle.
- Move the 2nd row seats out of easy entry position.
- Remove the 2nd row mid floor panel. See Floor Panel - Mid - 2nd Row (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the 2nd row rear floor panel. See Floor Panel - Rear - 2nd Row (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).

Remove and discard the bolts (x6) that
attach the LH 2nd row seat rear bracket to the vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 11 mm socket

Move the LH 2nd row seat fully
rearward.
NoteLatch the seat back to lock it into position.

Remove the LH 2nd row rear floor
supports.
- Remove the LH 2nd row seat outboard front floor plate. See Front Floor Plate - Outboard - 2nd Row Seat - LH (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH 2nd row seat inboard front floor plate. See Front Floor Plate - Inboard - 2nd Row Seat - LH (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).

Remove the bolts (x6) that attach the
LH 2nd row seat front bracket to the vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 11 mm socket
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).

Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat harness
electrical connectors (x3).
Tip: Release the bracket for access to the connectors if needed.

Release the clips (x2) that attach the
harness from the LH floor support bracket.
- Fold the LH 2nd row seat to the down position.

With assistance, remove the LH 2nd row
seat assembly from the vehicle.
Install
-
With assistance, position the LH 2nd
row seat into the vehicle.
NoteMake sure the guide pins are properly aligned.
- Move the LH 2nd row seat back to the upright position.

Install and hand tighten new bolts
(x6) that attach the LH 2nd row seat front bracket to the vehicle.
NoteThe bolts will be torqued at a later step.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 11 mm socket

Secure the clips (x2) that attach the
LH 2nd row seat harness to the LH 2nd row floor support bracket.

Connect the LH 2nd row seat harness
electrical connectors (x3), and then secure the connector housing to the bracket.
Tip: Release the bracket for access to the connectors if needed.
- Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Close the hood.
- Move LH 2nd row seat fully forward.

Install new bolts (x6) that attach the
LH 2nd row seat rear bracket to the vehicle.NoteTorque the center bolt on each side before the outer bolts.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 11 mm socket

Install the LH 2nd row rear floor
supports.
-
Position the 2nd row rear floor panel
into the vehicle, and then secure the clips (x2) that attach the panel to the
vehicle.
CAUTIONUse caution near the center console display.
- Move the LH 2nd row seat rearward and out of easy entry position.

Torque the bolts (x6) that attach the
LH 2nd row seat front bracket to the vehicle.NoteTorque the most forward bolt on each side before the outer bolts.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 11 mm socket

Position the LH 2nd row seat inboard
front floor plate into the vehicle, secure the clip that attaches the floor plate to the
vehicle, and then install the front plate decal onto the seat track base to cover the
fastener.

Position the LH 2nd row seat outboard
front floor plate into the vehicle, secure the clip that attaches the floor plate to the
vehicle, and then install the front plate decal onto the seat track base to cover the
fastener.
- Move the RH 2nd row seat rearward and out of easy entry position.

Position the 2nd row mid floor panel
into the vehicle, and then secure the clips (x5) that attach the panel to the
vehicle.
NoteReplace all damaged clips.
- Move the LH and RH 2nd row seats fully forward.
- Install the LH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH rear sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Repeat step 20 through step 22 for the RH side of the vehicle.

Position the LH trunk sill side trim
into the vehicle, and then secure the clips (x4) that attach the trim to the vehicle.
Repeat this step for the RH trunk sill side trim.
- Close the liftgate.
- Move the RH 2nd row seat to the original position.
- Close the RH front door.
- Move the LH 2nd row seat to the original position.

Calibrate the rear doors.
NoteIf the "Calibration Needed" message appears on the vehicle touchscreen, touch and hold Calibrate to calibrate the rear doors.
- Move the driver seat to the original position.
- Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
- Click the Actions tab, and then search for "Service-Redeploy".

Click SERVICE CAN REDEPLOY, and
then click Run and
allow the routine to complete.
NoteThe routine will state pass but the update will continue to run in the background.NoteThe UI will show the update progress.NoteClick the X at the top right of window to close once complete.

Position the instrument panel service
panel into the instrument panel, and then secure the tabs (x2) that attach the panel to
the IP.
NoteSlide the panel forward to engage the datums, and then secure the tabs upward into the IP.
- Raise the front windows and close the LH front door.
