Pinch Sensor - Rear - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH rear door trim lower garnish. See Garnish - Lower - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the LH rear door trim decor. See Decor - Trim - Rear Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the LH rear door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  5. Release the orange locking tab, and then disconnect the LH falcon wing door air bag electrical connector.
  6. Remove the screws (x10) that attach the LH rear door closeout panel to the LH rear door.
    1.8 Nm (1.3 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
  7. Remove the screws (x3) that attach the LH rear window motor to the LH rear door closeout panel.
    1.8 Nm (1.3 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T30 socket
  8. Release the black locking tab, and then disconnect the LH falcon wing door protection ECU.
  9. Disconnect the electrical connectors (x2) from the LH falcon wing door module.
  10. Release the clips (x7) that attach the harnesses and connectors to the LH rear door closeout panel.
  11. Release the clip, and then feed the door release cable through the LH rear door closeout panel.
  12. Release the tabs (x2) that attach the LH rear door closeout panel to the LH rear door, pull the closeout panel away from door, and then lift the window motor upward to release it.
  13. Release the clip that attaches the window regulator to the closeout panel.
  14. Disconnect the LH 2nd row rear pinch sensor electrical connector.
  15. Release the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row rear pinch sensor harness to the LH rear door.
  16. Remove the push clips (x7) that attach the LH 2nd row rear pinch sensor to the LH rear door.
  17. Release the grommet that attaches the LH 2nd row rear pinch sensor to the LH rear door, and then remove the sensor from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Position the LH 2nd row rear pinch sensor onto the LH rear door, and then secure the grommet that attaches the sensor to the door.
  2. Install the push clips (x7) that attach the LH 2nd row rear pinch sensor to the LH rear door.
  3. Secure the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row rear pinch sensor harness to the LH rear door.
  4. Connect the LH 2nd row rear pinch sensor electrical connector.
  5. Secure the clip that attaches the window regulator to the closeout panel.
  6. Feed the door release cable through the LH rear door closeout panel, and then secure the clip.

    Note
    Lubricate the cable grommet to aid in installation.
  7. Position the LH rear door window motor onto the back of the closeout panel, and then secure the tabs that attach the motor to the closeout panel.
  8. Install the screws (x3) that attach the LH rear window motor to the LH rear door closeout panel.
    1.8 Nm (1.3 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
  9. Install the screws (x10) that attach the LH rear door closeout panel to the LH rear door.
    1.8 Nm (1.3 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
  10. Connect the LH falcon wing door protection ECU electrical connector, and then engage the locking tab.
  11. Connect the LH falcon wing door air bag electrical connector, and then engage the orange locking tab.
  12. Connect the electrical connectors (x2) to the LH falcon wing door module.
  13. Install the clips (x7) that attach the harnesses and connectors to the LH rear door closeout panel.
  14. Install the LH rear door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  15. Install the LH rear door trim decor. See Decor - Trim - Rear Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  16. Install the LH rear door trim lower garnish. See Garnish - Lower - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  17. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  18. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  19. Close the LH falcon wing door.
