Actuator - Duct - Footwell - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the front windows.
  2. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  3. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  4. Remove the LH front floor mat.
  5. Remove the driver outboard footwell cover. See Cover - Footwell - Outboard - Driver (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the driver inboard footwell cover. See Cover - Footwell - Inboard - Driver (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the LH center console side carpet. See Carpet - Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the driver knee airbag assembly. See Knee Airbag - Driver (Remove and Replace).

    Note
    It is not necessary to remove the components from the airbag assembly after the assembly has been removed from the instrument panel.
  9. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the LH footwell duct actuator to the vehicle, and then release the actuator from the vehicle.
    2.3 Nm (1.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  10. Disconnect the LH footwell duct actuator electrical connector, and then remove the actuator from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Position the LH footwell duct actuator into the vehicle, and then connect the electrical connector.
  2. Position the LH footwell duct actuator into the HVAC assembly, and then install the screws (x2) that attach the actuator to the assembly.
    2.3 Nm (1.7 lbs-ft)

    Note
    The actuator is keyed to the HVAC assembly. Align the actuator before installing the screws.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  3. Install the driver knee airbag assembly. See Knee Airbag - Driver (Remove and Replace).
  4. Install the LH center console side carpet. See Carpet - Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install the driver inboard footwell cover. See Cover - Footwell - Inboard - Driver (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the driver outboard footwell cover. See Cover - Footwell - Outboard - Driver (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the LH front floor mat.
  8. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  9. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  10. Calibrate the rear doors.

    Note
    If the "Calibration Needed" message appears on the vehicle touchscreen, touch and hold Calibrate to calibrate the rear doors
  11. Raise the front windows and close the LH front door.
