Cap - Shock Tower - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the remote brake fluid reservoir to the LH front shock tower cap, and rotate the reservoir with bracket out of the shock tower cap.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  3. Remove the bolts (x3) and clip (x1) that attach the LH front shock tower cap to the multi-system beam.

  4. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH front shock tower cap to the shock tower, and then remove the cap from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Install the bolt that attaches the LH front shock tower cap to the shock tower.
    14 Nm (10.3 lbs-ft)

  2. Install the bolts (x3) and clip (x1) that attach the LH front shock tower cap to the multi-system beam.
    22 Nm (16.2 lbs-ft)

  3. Rotate the reservoir with bracket onto the shock tower cap, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the remote brake fluid reservoir to the LH front shock tower cap.
    8 Nm (5.9 lbs-ft)
