  • 2025-06-02: Released new procedure.
  1. Open the LH front door.
  2. Lower LH front window
  3. Activate Service Mode using the touchscreen.
  4. Remove front fascia camera cover

    2x screws, T20, 4 Nm
  5. Disconnect front fascia camera

    1x locking tab connector, 1x nano nozzle
  6. Remove front fascia camera from housing

    2x screws, PH1, 2 Nm
  7. Install front fascia camera onto housing

  8. Connect front fascia camera

    1x locking tab connector, 1x nano nozzle
  9. Install front fascia camera cover

    2x screws, T20, 4 Nm
  10. Unlock the vehicle Gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
  11. Reset DAS via Service UI

    In Service mode navigate to Driver Assist > Cameras > Reset DAS
  12. Connect to vehicle using Toolbox 3

    Navigate to https://toolbox.teslamotors.com and establish connection to vehicle, Select connection status icon at top right corner then select connect locally, Icon will turn green when connected, Successful connection will automatically unlock vehicle gateway and place UI in Service Mode Plus, Media converter box powered by laptop USB or 12v power outlet, Ethernet connection will provide communication, If RJ45 ethernet connector present at service panel media converter box not required, Vehicles built 4/5/2024 onwards have OBDII connection integrated into drivers lower IP cover, Use OBDII connection if this applies, Some vehicles may have both RJ45 and OBDII, If vehicle has both RJ45 and OBD-II then connect via RJ45, For local connection issues with Toolbox 3 refer to https://toolbox.teslamotors.com/articles/43695
  13. Select ‘Actions/Autodiag’ and search for ‘Calibration Mode’
  14. Select "DAS Enter Calibration Mode", click Run and allow routine to complete
  15. Run ODIN routine PING-HTTP_DAS_FASCIA-CAMERA-SCRIPTvia Toolbox: (link)
  16. Disconnect Toolbox 3 from vehicle and remove laptop and diagnostics adapter ethernet harness

    If RJ45 ethernet diagnostic connector present media converter box not required disconnect directly from laptop using an RJ45 Ethernet cable or from OBDII connection
  17. Run ODIN routine PROC_ICE_X_EXIT-SERVICE-MODEvia Toolbox: (link)
  18. Raise LH front window
  19. Close the LH front door.
