Glare Shield - Autopilot (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Enable Service Mode. See Service Mode (Enable and Disable).
- Remove the lower camera cover. See Camera Cover - Lower (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the rear view mirror. See Mirror - Rear View (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the upper camera cover from the windshield as an assembly. However, do not remove the interior camera from the camera cover. See Upper Cover - Rear View Mirror (Remove and Replace).

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the
glare shield assembly to the windshield, and then release the glare shield from the
windshield.CAUTIONAn electrical harness is still attached to the glare shieldTip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T10 bit
NoteDatums (x2), tabs (x2)NoteTilt the glare shield down and slide tabs forward. -
Disconnect the GNSS antenna electrical
connector.

Remove the screw that attaches the
GNSS antenna to the glare shield, and then slide the antenna out of the retaining tabs
(x2) to remove the antenna from the glare shield.NoteSlide the antenna to the LH side to release it from the bracket.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T10 bit
Install

Position the GNSS antenna on the glare
shield, and then install the screw that attaches the antenna to the glare shield.NoteSlide the antenna to the LH side to release it from the bracket.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

Clean the inner windshield camera
viewing area with a clean microfiber cloth and glass cleaner. Let the windshield fully
dry before continuing.
CAUTIONVerify that the windshield has no stains or leftover residue. Otherwise, Autopilot features may be hindered.

Route the electrical harness on the
glare shield, and then connect the electrical connector on the GNSS antenna.

Position the glare shield assembly on
the windshield, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the glare shield assembly to
the windshield.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T10 bit
- Install the upper camera cover. See Upper Cover - Rear View Mirror (Remove and Replace).

Reset the Driver Assistance
System (DAS).
- Install the rear view mirror. See Mirror - Rear View (Remove and Replace).
- Install the lower camera cover. See Camera Cover - Lower (Remove and Replace).
- Disable Service Mode. See Service Mode (Enable and Disable).
