Door Mirror Assembly - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the front windows.
  2. Remove the LH front door trim decor. See Decor - Trim - Front Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the LH front door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  5. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  6. Remove the LH front outer belt molding.
  7. Use a clip pry tool to release the push clips (x8), and then pull the tab upwards to partially release the inner belt seal.

    Note
    Pull the RH side of the seal away from door panel. Keep the door skill front side connected. Move the inner belt seal away to gain access to the mirror bolts.
  8. Disconnect the LH door mirror electrical connector.
  9. Release the bolts (x4) that attach the LH door module bracket to the LH door assembly, and then lower the module to gain access to the door mirror harness.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Only remove the bolts enough to lower LH door module.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 8mm socket
  10. Remove the LH door mirror skull cap. See Skull Cap - Door Mirror - LH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove and discard the bolts (x3) that attach the LH door mirror assembly to the LH door, and then pull the mirror assembly upwards to remove it from the door.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T30 socket

Install

  1. Position the LH door mirror assembly onto the LH door, and then install new bolts (x3) that attach the mirror assembly to the door.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T30 socket
  2. Install the LH door mirror skull cap. See Skull Cap - Door Mirror - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Install the bolts (x4) that attach the LH door module bracket to the LH door assembly.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Make sure to properly route the door mirror wiring harness.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 8mm socket
  4. Connect the LH door mirror electrical connector.
  5. Position the LH front outer belt molding onto the LH front door, and then press the molding downward to secure it to the door.
    Tip: Applying P-80 to the channel may make installation easier.
  6. Secure the push clips (x8) and tab that attach the inner belt seal to the LH door assembly.
  7. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  8. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  9. Install the LH front door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the LH front door trim decor. See Decor - Trim - Front Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Close the LH front door and raise the front windows.
