Headlights - Adjust - NA (Wall Method)

Warning

Procedure

  1. Apply tape to wall 33.4 in (84.9 cm) from the ground.
  2. Apply tape to floor 25 ft (7.62 m) from the wall.
  3. Park vehicle on flat level surface perpendicular to wall and align front fascia with tape on floor.
    Note
    Choose a dark work area with low ambient lighting for best results, Ensure tire pressure is set to specification.
  4. Switch headlights ON through UI.
    Note
    Via center display > Controls > Lights > Headlights .
  5. Set vehicle ride height to "Standard".
    Note
    Via center display > Controls > Suspension > Standard, Ensure all tire pressures are set to specification to ensure accurate ride height.
  6. Set air suspension into "Jack Mode".
    Note
    Via center display > Controls > Service > Jack Mode.
  7. Open hood.
    Note
    Via center display > Controls > Frunk Open.
  8. Remove rear underhood apron.
    Note
    11x clips.
  9. Remove LH underhood apron.
    Note
    11x clips, 2x datums, Remove brush clip at hinge cover first, Take note of clip at headlamp.
  10. Remove RH underhood apron.
    Note
    11x clips, 2x datums, Remove brush clip at hinge cover first, Take note of clip at headlamp.
  11. Clean headlamps.
    Note
    Allow 1 minute dry time.
  12. Use a fender protector to completely cover the RH headlight.
  13. Adjust LH beam level using headlamp adjuster .
    Note
    Turn adjuster counterclockwise to raise and clockwise to lower beam level, Adjust so that top left part of beam aligns with tape mark on wall, Do not sit in vehicle as this will affect headlamp height.
  14. Remove the fender protector from the RH headlight, and then completely cover the LH headlight with the fender protector.
  15. Adjust RH beam level using headlamp adjuster.
    Note
    Turn adjuster counterclockwise to raise and clockwise to lower beam level, Adjust so that top right part of beam aligns with tape mark on wall, Do not sit in vehicle as this will affect headlamp height.
  16. Remove the fender protector from the LH headlight.
  17. Install LH underhood apron.
    Note
    11x clips, 2 datums.
  18. Install RH underhood apron.
    Note
    11x clips, 2x datums.
  19. Install rear underhood apron.
    Note
    11x clips.
  20. Close hood.
  21. Switch headlights to AUTO through UI.
    Note
    Via Controls > Lights > Headlights .
  22. Remove air suspension from "Jack Mode".

    Using center display > Controls > Service > ''Jack Mode''.
