Trim Strip - Rear - 2nd Row Seat - LH (6 seat) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open all the doors and lower the front windows.
  2. Remove the LH 2nd row seat assembly from the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (Without 2nd Row Bench Seats) (Remove and Replace).
  3. Release the clips (x11) that attach the LH 2nd row seat seat back cover to the seat assembly, disconnect the electrical connector, and then remove the seat back cover from the seat assembly.

    CAUTION
    Be careful not to damage the switch harness. Do not remove the trim from the seat assembly until the connector has been disconnected.

    Note
    Start from the top portion of trim and work downward.
  4. Remove the LH 2nd row seat underbelly trim. See Trim - Underbelly - 2nd Row Seat - LH (6 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove and discard the LH 2nd row seat surround carpets from the surround trim.
  6. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the LH 2nd row seat magic carpet to the seat assembly.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  7. Slide the LH 2nd row seat magic carpet away from the surround trim to gain access to the LH 2nd row seat rear trim strip.

    Do not fully remove the magic carpet.
  8. Release the tabs (x8) that attach the LH 2nd row seat top inner covers to the seat assembly, and then remove the covers from the assembly.

    Be careful not to damage the tabs when releasing the trim. The tabs are brittle.
  9. Release the tabs (x5) that attach the LH 2nd row seat rear trim strip to the seat assembly, and then remove the trim strip from the assembly.

Install

  1. Position the LH 2nd row seat rear trim strip onto the seat assembly, and then secure the tabs (x5) that attach the trim strip to the assembly.
  2. Position the LH 2nd row seat top inner covers onto the seat assembly, and then secure the tabs (x8) that attach the covers to the assembly.

    Be careful not to damage the tabs when releasing the trim. The tabs are brittle.
  3. Slide the LH 2nd row seat magic carpet against the surround trim.
  4. Install the screws (x2) that attach the LH 2nd row seat magic carpet to the seat assembly.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  5. Install new LH 2nd row seat surround carpets to the surround trim.
  6. Install the LH 2nd row seat underbelly trim. See Trim - Underbelly - 2nd Row Seat - LH (6 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  7. Position the LH 2nd row seat seat back cover onto the seat assembly, connect the electrical connector, and then secure the clips (x11) that attach the seat back cover to the seat assembly.

    Note
    Align the lower datums and side tabs along the seat assembly, and then engage the clips fully.
  8. Install the LH 2nd row seat assembly into the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (Without 2nd Row Bench Seats) (Remove and Replace).
  9. Raise the front windows and close all the doors.
