Cinching Actuator - Door - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace)

Correction code 11353502 0.96 NOTE: Unless otherwise explicitly stated in the procedure, the above correction code and FRT reflect all of the work required to perform this procedure, including the linked procedures. Remove

  1. Remove the LH rear door trim lower garnish. See Garnish - Lower - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the LH rear door trim decor. See Decor - Trim - Rear Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the LH rear door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Set the LH rear door at a comfortable working height.
  5. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  6. Release the orange locking tab, and then disconnect the LH falcon wing door air bag electrical connector.
  7. Remove the screws (x10) that attach the LH rear door closeout panel to the LH rear door.
    1.8 Nm (1.3 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
  8. Remove the screws (x3) that attach the LH rear window motor to the LH rear door closeout panel.
    1.8 Nm (1.3 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T30 socket
  9. Release the tabs (x2) that attach the LH rear door closeout panel to the LH rear door, pull the closeout panel away from door, and then lift the window motor upward to release it.
  10. Release the black locking tab, and then disconnect the LH falcon wing door protection ECU.
  11. Disconnect the electrical connectors (x2) from the LH falcon wing door module.
  12. Release the clips (x7) that attach the harnesses and connectors to the LH rear door closeout panel.
  13. Release the clip, and then feed the door release cable through the LH rear door closeout panel.
  14. Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the LH rear door speaker to the door assembly, disconnect the harness electrical connector, and then remove the speaker assembly from the vehicle.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T25 socket
  15. Remove the nuts (x3) that attach the LH rear door cinching actuator to the LH rear door, and then lift the actuator upward to release it from the door.
    3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10mm socket
  16. Disconnect the electrical connectors (x2) from the LH rear door cinching actuator, and then remove the actuator assembly from the vehicle.
  17. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the LH rear door cinching actuator shroud to the assembly, and then remove the shroud from the assembly.
    2 Nm (1.5 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T15 socket
  18. Pry up on black plastic edge to release the cable, and then slightly unwind the cable and pull the cable end upward to remove it from the actuator.

Install

  1. Install the latch cable into the cinching actuator.
  2. Slide the shroud onto the LH rear door cinching actuator.

    Note
    Push the actuator back to allow the shroud to slide over.
  3. Install the self-tapping screws (x2) that attach the shroud to the LH rear door cinching actuator assembly.
    2 Nm (1.5 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T15 socket
  4. Connect the electrical connectors (x2) to the LH rear door cinching actuator.
  5. Position the LH rear door cinching actuator assembly into the LH rear door, and then install the nuts (x3) that attach the actuator assembly to the door.
    3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10mm socket
  6. Position the LH rear door speaker into the door assembly, connect the harness electrical connector, and then install the bolts (x4) that attach the speaker assembly to the vehicle.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T25 socket
  7. Feed the door release cable through the LH rear door closeout panel, and then secure the clip.

    Note
    Lubricate the cable grommet to aid in installation.
  8. Position the LH rear door window motor onto the back of the closeout panel, and then secure the tabs that attach the motor to the closeout panel.
  9. Install the screws (x3) that attach the LH rear window motor to the LH rear door closeout panel.
    1.8 Nm (1.3 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T30 socket
  10. Install the screws (x10) that attach the LH rear door closeout panel to the LH rear door.
    1.8 Nm (1.3 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T25 socket
  11. Connect the LH falcon wing door protection ECU electrical connector, and then engage the locking tab.
  12. Connect the LH falcon wing door air bag electrical connector, and then engage the orange locking tab.
  13. Connect the electrical connectors (x2) to the LH falcon wing door module.
  14. Install the clips (x7) that attach the harnesses and connectors to the LH rear door closeout panel.
  15. Install the LH rear door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  16. Install the LH rear door trim decor. See Decor - Trim - Rear Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  17. Install the LH rear door trim lower garnish. See Garnish - Lower - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  18. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  19. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  20. Close the hood.
  21. Calibrate the rear doors.

    If the "Calibration Needed" message appears on the vehicle touchscreen, touch and hold Calibrate to calibrate the rear doors
