Assembly - Trailer Hitch (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Remove the rear fascia assembly. See Fascia Assembly - Rear (Remove and Install).

Disconnect the LH body harness
connector from the trailer hitch assembly jumper harness.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Pocket screwdriver

Disconnect the LH body harness connector from the trailer hitch assembly ECU.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Pocket screwdriver

Release the clip that attaches the LH
body harness to the trailer hitch assembly.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Clip pry tool

Remove the nuts (x4) that attach the
trailer hitch assembly to the body studs, and then remove the hitch assembly from the
vehicle.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 15 mm deep socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 3 in extension
Install

Position the trailer hitch assembly on
the vehicle, and then install the nuts (x4) that attach the hitch assembly to the body
studs.NoteThe new trailer hitch assembly comes equipped with an ECU and jumper harness.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 15 mm deep socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 3 in extension

Install the clip that attaches the LH body harness to the trailer hitch
assembly.

Connect the LH body harness connector to the trailer hitch assembly ECU.

Connect the LH body harness connector to the trailer hitch assembly jumper
harness.
