Seatbelt Reminder - 3rd Row - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open all four doors.
  2. Lower the LH and RH front windows.
  3. Move the LH and RH front seats forward.
  4. Move the LH and RH monopost seats forward.
  5. Open the liftgate.
  6. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the rear trunk floor NVH insulator. See NVH Insulator - Floor - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the rear trunk carpet. See Carpet - Rear Trunk (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  10. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  11. Release the push clips (x4) that attach the 3rd row seat harness trays to the seat frame.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Clip pry tool
  12. Disconnect the 3rd row seat assembly connectors (x11).

    Note
    Release the tab and slide the connector housing off of the housing tray to remove.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Pocket screwdriver
  13. Remove the 3rd row seat cushion. See Cushion - Seat - 3rd Row (Remove and Replace).
  14. Release the clips (x8) that attach the 3rd row cup holder fascia assembly to the seat.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Plastic trim tool
  15. Disconnect the 3rd row USB hub connector.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Pocket screwdriver
  16. Flip the 3rd row cushion over to access the bottom side of the cushion.

    Note
    Place the cushion on a protected surface.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Fender cover - 115212-00-A
  17. Release the tabs (x4) that attach the 3rd row cushion cover to the rear corners of cushion substrate.
  18. Release the J-hooks (x2) that attach the 3rd row cushion cover to the rear end of the cushion substrate.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Pick Miniature Soft Grip, 90 degree tip, 6 in
  19. Feed the 3rd row cushion connectors (x4) through the rear end of the cushion cover.
  20. Release the J-hooks (x2) that attach the 3rd row cushion cover to the cup holder.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Pick Miniature Soft Grip, 90 degree tip, 6 in
  21. Release the J-hooks (x2) that attach the 3rd row cushion cover to both sides of the 3rd row cushion substrate.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Pick Miniature Soft Grip, 90 degree tip, 6 in
  22. Release the J-hooks (x2) that attach the 3rd row cushion cover to the front end of the 3rd row cushion substrate.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Pick Miniature Soft Grip, 90 degree tip, 6 in
  23. Flip the 3rd row cushion assembly to access the top side.
  24. Starting from the leading edge and working towards the rear of the LH seat cushion, remove the hog rings (x9) and Velcro strips (x2) that attach the 3rd row cushion cover to the seat cushion.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Diagonal pliers
  25. Remove the 3rd row cushion cover from the LH cushion foam.
  26. Remove the 3rd row LH cushion foam from the cushion substrate.
  27. Remove the LH 3rd row cushion heater pad. See Heater Pad - Cushion - 3rd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  28. Pry off the LH 3rd row seatbelt reminder adhesive, and then remove the seatbelt reminder from the seat foam.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Plastic trim tool

Install

  1. Peel off the adhesive backing tape from the LH 3rd row seatbelt reminder, and then install the seatbelt reminder on the seat foam.
  2. Install the LH 3rd row cushion heater pad. See Heater Pad - Cushion - 3rd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Install the 3rd row LH cushion foam on the 3rd row cushion substrate.
  4. Align the 3rd row cushion cover on the LH cushion foam.
  5. Starting from the rear of the LH seat cushion and working towards the leading edge, install the hog rings (x9) and Velcro strips (x2) that attach the 3rd row cushion cover to the seat cushion.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Hog ring pliers - 1501599-00-A
  6. Flip the 3rd row cushion assembly to access the bottom side.
  7. Install the J-hooks (x2) that attach the 3rd row cushion cover to the rear end of the cushion substrate.
  8. Install the J-hooks (x2) that attach the 3rd row cushion cover to both sides of the 3rd row cushion substrate.
  9. Install the J-hooks (x2) that attach the 3rd row cushion cover to the cup holder.
  10. Feed the 3rd row cushion connectors (x4) through the cushion cover.
  11. Install the J-hooks (x2) that attach the 3rd row cushion cover to the front end of the 3rd row cushion substrate.
  12. Install the tabs (x4) that attach the 3rd row cushion cover to the rear corners of cushion substrate.
  13. Flip the 3rd row cushion assembly to access the topside, and then inspect for any fitment issues.

    Note
    If issues are present, correct the trim fitment, and then proceed with the installation.
  14. Connect the 3rd row USB hub connector.
  15. Install the clips (x8) that attach the 3rd row cup holder fascia assembly to the seat.
  16. Install the 3rd row seat cushion. See Cushion - Seat - 3rd Row (Remove and Replace).
  17. Connect the 3rd row seat assembly connectors (x11).
  18. Install the push clips (x4) that attach the 3rd row seat harness trays to the seat frame.
  19. Install the rear trunk carpet. See Carpet - Rear Trunk (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  20. Install the rear trunk floor NVH insulator. See NVH Insulator - Floor - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  21. Install the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  22. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  23. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  24. Close the liftgate.
  25. Move the LH and RH monopost seats to original position.
  26. Move the LH and RH front seats to original position.
  27. Calibrate the rear doors.

    Note
    If the "Calibration Needed" message appears on the vehicle touchscreen, touch and hold Calibrate to calibrate the rear doors.
  28. Raise the LH and RH front windows.
  29. Close the LH and RH front doors.
