Taillight - RH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the RH front door.
  2. Lower the RH front window.
  3. Move the RH front seat forward.
  4. Open the RH falcon wing door.
  5. Move the RH monopost seat forward.
  6. Remove the RH rear sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Open the liftgate.
  8. Remove the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the rear trunk floor NVH insulator. See NVH Insulator - Floor - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the rear trunk carpet. See Carpet - Rear Trunk (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove the LH and RH side rear trunk garnish. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
  12. Remove the RH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
  13. Remove the RH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  14. Remove the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  15. Remove the rear wall rear trunk trim. See .
  16. Fold the RH 3rd row seat back downwards.
  17. Remove the RH upper C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  18. Release the RH trunk tie down from the RH side trim carpet.
  19. Remove the RH trunk side trim. See Trim - Side - Trunk - RH (Remove and Replace).
  20. Remove the RH trunk trim bracket. See Bracket - Trim - Trunk - RH (Remove and Replace).
  21. Disconnect the RH taillight lamp connector.
  22. Remove the bolt, sealed washer, nut, and washer that attach that RH taillight to the body.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 2 in extension
    • 8 mm 12-point deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  23. Remove the nuts (x2) that attach the RH taillight to the body.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 2 in extension
    • 8 mm 12-point deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  24. Release the studs (x4) that attach the RH taillight to the body, and then remove the taillight from the vehicle.

    Note
    Release the stud on the taillight fixed door first.
  25. Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the RH taillight fixed door to the taillight, and then remove the fixed door from the taillight.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Torx T20 socket

Install

  1. Position the RH taillight fixed door on the taillight, and then install the bolts (x3) that attach the fixed door to the taillight.
    1.25 Nm (.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • Torx T20 bit
  2. Position the RH taillight on the vehicle, and then install the studs (x4) that attach the taillight to the body.

    Note
    Align the studs on the taillight body first, and then align the fixed door stud.
  3. Install the nuts (x2) that attach the RH taillight to the body.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 2 in extension
    • 8 mm 12-point deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
  4. Install the bolt, sealed washer, nut, and washer that attach that RH taillight to the body.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 2 in extension
    • 8 mm 12-point deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
  5. Connect the RH taillight lamp connector.
  6. Install the RH trunk trim bracket. See Bracket - Trim - Trunk - RH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the RH trunk side trim. See Trim - Side - Trunk - RH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Install the RH trunk tie down on the RH trunk side trim carpet.
  9. Install the RH upper C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Raise the RH 3rd row seat back into original position.
  11. Install the RH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  12. Install the RH rear sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  13. Install the RH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
  14. Install the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  15. Install the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  16. Install the LH and RH side rear trunk garnish. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
  17. Install the rear trunk carpet. See Carpet - Rear Trunk (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  18. Install the rear trunk floor NVH insulator. See NVH Insulator - Floor - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  19. Install the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  20. Close the liftgate.
  21. Move the RH monopost seat to original position.
  22. Close the RH falcon wing door.
  23. Move the RH front seat to original position.
  24. Raise the RH front window.
  25. Close the RH front door.
