Sensor - Air Temperature - Duct - Defrost (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the instrument panel sub-assembly from the vehicle. See Sub Assembly - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace).

    Note
    It is not necessary to remove components from the sub-assembly after the entire assembly has been removed from the instrument panel.
  2. Remove the driver instrument panel duct. See Duct - Instrument Panel - Driver (Remove and Replace).
  3. Disconnect the defrost duct air temperature sensor electrical connector, and then remove the sensor from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Position the defrost duct air temperature sensor into the vehicle, connect the electrical connector, and then install the sensor into the HVAC case.

    Connect the connector before installing the sensor into the vehicle.

    Make sure the sensor is fully seated into the HVAC case.
  2. Install the driver instrument panel duct. See Duct - Instrument Panel - Driver (Remove and Replace).
  3. Install the instrument panel sub-assembly into the vehicle. See Sub Assembly - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace).
