Release Cable - EZ Entry - 2nd Row - RH (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Remove the RH 2nd row seat assembly from the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - RH (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
- Fold the RH 2nd row seat back to the upright position.
- Remove the RH 2nd row recliner lever. See Lever - Recliner - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the RH 2nd row recliner cover. See Cover - Recliner - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).

Remove and discard the bolt that
attaches the RH 2nd row seatbelt to the seat assembly, and then remove the seatbelt from
the assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T50 socket

Disconnect the RH 2nd row seatbelt
buckle harness connector, and then release the clips (x2) that attach the connector and
harness to the seat assembly.

Remove the bolt that attaches the RH
2nd row seatbelt buckle to the seat assembly, and then remove the buckle from the
assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T50 socket

Release the J-clips (x6) that attach
the RH 2nd row seat cushion trim to the seat bracket assembly, and then release the trim
from the bracket.

Disconnect the RH 2nd row heater and
seat belt reminder electrical connectors, and then release the clip that attaches the
harness to the seat assembly.

Remove the RH 2nd row seat cushion
sub-assembly from the seat assembly.
NoteGuide the harness and tension flaps underneath the seat back.

Release the J-hook that attaches the
RH 2nd row seat back upholstery to the seat assembly.
-
Unzip the RH 2nd row seat back
upholstery on LH and RH sides of the backrest cover, release the Velcro strips (x2) that
attach the upholstery to the seat back, and then fold the seat back over the headrest
for access.
NoteThe ends of zippers are tucked underneath the upholstery.Tip: Use a pick to help move the zipper.

Release the clips (x5) that attach the
RH 2nd row seat back plastic to the seat back assembly, and then remove the seat back
plastic from the assembly.

Release the clip that attaches the RH
2nd row seat harness to the seat frame.
-
Disconnect the RH 2nd row seat heater
electrical connector.
-
Release the clip that attaches the RH
2nd row seat heater connector to the seat frame.
-
Remove and discard the metal clip from
the RH 2nd row seat actuator slider assembly.
NoteRelieve tension on the metal clip by moving the slider inwards into the housing.
-
Release the actuator cable from the
actuator slide assembly.
CAUTIONBe careful not to damage the cable locating plastic.

Remove the clip that attaches the RH
2nd row seat actuator slider assembly to the seat frame.
-
Release the clip that attaches the RH
2nd row seat actuator slider assembly to the seat frame.
-
Move the RH 2nd row actuator slider
assembly closer to the cable to relieve tension.
CAUTIONBe careful not to kink or damage the cable.

Release the cable end fitting from the
slider.
CAUTIONBe careful not to kink or damage the cable.NoteFlip slider vertically. Use a 90 degree pick to release the end fitting from the open slot.
- Fold the RH 2nd row seat back to the upright position.

Remove the screws (x3) that attach the
inboard seat riser cover to the RH 2nd row outboard seat riser.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T20 socket

Remove the screw that attaches the
outboard seat riser cover to the RH 2nd row outboard seat riser.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T20 socket
-
Release the clips (x2) that attach the
outboard seat riser cover to the RH 2nd row outboard seat riser, and then remove the
inboard and outboard covers from the seat riser.

Remove the screws (x3) that attach the
inboard seat riser cover to the RH 2nd row inboard seat riser.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T20 socket

Remove the screw that attaches the
outboard seat riser cover to the RH 2nd row inboard seat riser.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T20 socket
-
Release the clips (x2) that attach the
outboard seat riser cover to the RH 2nd row inboard seat riser, and then remove the
inboard and outboard covers from the seat riser.

Release the lower portion of the back
cushion from the seat frame.
-
Release the cable clips (x2) from the
RH 2nd row seat RH side of the seat riser.
-
Release the clips (x2) that attach the
RH 2nd row EZ entry release cable to the outer track actuator.
Tip: Use a plastic trim tool to pry the cable clip away from the cable retainer.

Release the clips (x2) that attach the
RH 2nd row EZ entry release cable to the inner track actuator, and then remove the
release cable from the seat assembly.
Tip: Use a plastic trim tool to pry the cable clip away from the cable retainer.
Install
-
Position the RH 2nd row EZ entry
release cable into the RH 2nd row seat.
-
Secure the clips (x2) that attach the RH 2nd row EZ entry release cable to the outer
track actuator.
Tip: Firmly press the cable clip into the cable retainer until the cable is secured to the track actuator.

Install cable onto 40 RH inner track
actuator
Note2x clips, Firmly press cable clip into cable retainer till cable is secured to track actuator

Secure the cable clips (x2) at the RH 2nd row seat RH side of the seat riser.
-
Position the inboard and outboard seat riser covers to the RH 2nd row inboard seat
riser, and then secure the clips (x2) that attach the covers to the seat riser. Repeat
this step for the outboard seat riser.

Install the screws (x3) that attach the inboard seat riser cover to the RH 2nd row
outboard seat riser.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T20 socket

Install the screw that attaches the outboard seat riser cover to the RH 2nd row
outboard seat riser.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T20 socket
- Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the inboard seat riser.

Reinstall the lower portion of the
seat back cushion.
- Fold the RH 2nd row seat to the down position.
-
Install the cable end fitting into the slider.
CAUTIONBe careful not to kink or damage the cable.NoteInstall the cable vertically. Use bent needle nose pliers to hold the cable end fitting in place, and then insert the end fitting into the slider opening.

Secure the actuator cable to the actuator slide assembly.
CAUTIONBe careful not to damage the cable locating plastic.

Install the clip that attaches the RH 2nd row seat actuator slider assembly to the
seat frame.
-
Secure the clip that attaches the RH 2nd row seat actuator slider assembly to the
seat frame.
-
Install a new metal clip into the RH 2nd row seat actuator slider assembly.
CAUTIONBe careful not to deform or damage the clip.NoteApply forward pressure to the slider to install the metal clip.NoteVerify operation to ensure proper functionality.Tip: Use the flat side of a plastic trim tool to aid in installation.

Secure the clip that attaches the RH 2nd row seat harness to the seat frame.

Secure the clip that attaches the RH 2nd row seat heater connector to the seat
frame.
-
Connect the RH 2nd row seat heater electrical connector.
-
Position the RH 2nd row seat back
plastic to the seat back assembly, and then secure the clips (x5) that attach the seat
back plastic to the assembly.
-
Fold the seat back upholstery into
position, secure the Velcro strips (x2), and then zip the upholstery on the LH and RH
sides of backrest cover.
NoteThe ends of zippers are tucked underneath the upholstery.Tip: Use a pick to help move the zipper.

Secure the J-hook that attaches the RH
2nd row seat back upholstery to the seat assembly.
-
Position the RH 2nd row seat cushion
into the seat assembly.
NoteGuide the harness and tension flaps underneath the seat back.
-
Secure the clip that attaches the seat harness to the RH 2nd row seat assembly, and
then connect the heater and seat belt reminder electrical connectors.
-
Secure the J-clips (x6) that attach the RH 2nd row seat cushion trim to the seat
bracket assembly.
-
Slide the upper tabs of the RH 2nd row
seat inner hinge cover onto the seat frame, and then secure the clip and tabs (x4) that
attach the cover to the seat assembly.
-
Position the RH 2nd row seatbelt buckle to the seat assembly, and then install the
bolt that attaches the buckle to the assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T50 socket

Secure the clips (x2) that attach the RH 2nd row seatbelt buckle connector and
harness to the seat assembly, and then connect the seatbelt buckle connector.

Position the RH 2nd row seatbelt to the seat assembly, and then install a new bolt
that attaches the seatbelt to the assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T50 socket
- Install the RH 2nd row recliner cover. See Cover - Recliner - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the RH 2nd row recliner lever. See Lever - Recliner - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Fold the RH 2nd row seat back to the down position.

Install the RH 2nd row seat assembly.

NoteIt is not necessary to redeploy software after install.
