Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - RH (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Open all the doors and lower the front windows.
- Move the front seats fully forward.
- Move the LH and RH 2nd row seats fully forward.
- Remove the LH and RH rear sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).

Apply masking tape to the RH racetrack
to avoid damage.
- Remove the RH side rear trunk garnish. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the RH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the RH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Repeat step 6 through step 11 8 for the LH side of the vehicle.
- Move the LH and RH 2nd row seats rearward and out of easy entry position.
- Remove the 2nd row mid floor panel. See Floor Panel - Mid - 2nd Row (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
- Move the LH and RH 2nd row seats fully forward.
- Remove the 2nd row rear floor panel. See Floor Panel - Rear - 2nd Row (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).

Remove and discard the bolts (x6) that
attach the rear of the RH 2nd row seat track to the vehicle.NoteUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 11 mm socket
- Move the LH 2nd row seat fully rearwards.

Release the clip that attaches the RH
inner front plate carpet assembly to the vehicle, and then remove the plate from the
vehicle.
NoteCarefully peel up the front plate carpet decal to release it from the seat track base.

Release the clip that attaches the RH
outer front plate carpet assembly to the vehicle, and then remove the plate from the
vehicle.
NoteCarefully peel up the front plate carpet decal to release it from the seat track base.

Remove and discard the bolts (x6) that
attach the front of the RH 2nd row seat track to the vehicle.NoteUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 11 mm socket
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).

Disconnect the RH 2nd row seat harness
connectors (x3).
NoteRelease the bracket for better access.

Release the clips (x2) that attach the
RH 2nd row seat harness to the RH floor support bracket.
- Fold the RH 2nd row seat to the down position.

With assistance, remove the RH 2nd row
seat assembly from the vehicle.
Install

With assistance, position the RH 2nd
row seat assembly into the vehicle.
NoteMake sure the guide pins are aligned properly.
- Move the seat back to the upright position.

Install and hand tighten new bolts
(x6) that attach the front of the RH 2nd row seat track to the vehicle.

Secure the clips (x2) that attach the
RH 2nd row seat harness to the RH floor support bracket.

Connect the RH 2nd row seat harness
connectors (x3).
NoteSecure the connector housing bracket if released.
- Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Move the RH 2nd row seat fully forward.

Install new bolts (x6) that attach the
rear of the RH 2nd row seat track.NoteTighten the center bolt on both sides before tightening the outer bolts.NoteUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 11 mm socket
- Install the 2nd row rear floor panel. See Floor Panel - Rear - 2nd Row (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
- Move the RH 2nd row seat rearward and out of easy entry position.

Tighten the bolts (x6) that attach the
front of the RH 2nd row seat track to the vehicle.NoteTighten the foremost bolt on each side before the outer bolts.NoteUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 11 mm socket

Position the RH outer front plate
carpet assembly into the vehicle, and then secure the clip that attaches the plate to
the vehicle.
NoteSecure the front plate carpet decal onto the seat track base to cover the fastener.

Position the RH inner front plate
carpet assembly into the vehicle, and then secure the clip that attaches the plate to
the vehicle.
NoteSecure the front plate carpet decal onto the seat track base to cover the fastener.
- Move the RH 2nd row seat rearward and out of easy entry position.
- Install the 2nd row mid floor panel. See Floor Panel - Mid - 2nd Row (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
- Move the 2nd row seats fully forward.
- Install the LH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH rear sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Repeat step 18 through step 20 for the RH side of the vehicle.
- Install the LH and RH side rear trunk garnish. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Close the liftgate.
- Move 2nd row seats to the original positions.
- Close the RH front door.

Calibrate the rear doors.
NoteIf the "Calibration Needed" message appears on the vehicle touchscreen, touch and hold Calibrate to calibrate the rear doors.
- Move the driver seat to the original position.
- Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
- Click the Actions tab, and then search for "Service-Redeploy".

Click SERVICE CAN REDEPLOY, and
then click Run and
allow the routine to complete.
NoteThe routine will state pass but the update will continue to run in the background.NoteThe UI will show the update progress.NoteClick the X at the top right of window to close once complete.
- Disconnect Toolbox and remove the laptop from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
- Raise the front windows and close the LH front door.
