Insulator - Wheelhouse - Rear - RH (Remove and Replace)

Correction code 15307202 2.10 NOTE: Unless otherwise explicitly stated in the procedure, the above correction code and FRT reflect all of the work required to perform this procedure, including the linked procedures. Remove

  1. Open the RH front door.
  2. Lower the RH front window.
  3. Move the RH front seat forward.
  4. Open the RH falcon wing door.
  5. Move the RH monopost seat forward.
  6. Remove the RH rear sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Open the liftgate.
  8. Remove the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the rear trunk floor NVH insulator. See NVH Insulator - Floor - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove rear trunk carpet. See Carpet - Rear Trunk (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove the LH and RH side rear trunk garnish. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
  12. Remove the RH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
  13. Remove the RH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  14. Disconnect the RH C-Pillar impact sensor.
  15. Remove the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  16. Release the clips (x2) and push clips (x4) that attach the rear wall load support to the vehicle, and then remove the support from the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Clip pry tool
    • Plastic trim tool
  17. Fold the RH 3rd row seat downwards.
  18. Remove the RH upper C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  19. Release the RH trunk tie down from the RH side trim carpet.
  20. Remove the RH trunk side trim. See Trim - Side - Trunk - RH (Remove and Replace).
  21. Remove the RH inner reinforcement. See Reinforcement - Inner - LH (Remove and Replace).
  22. Remove RH trunk side trim bracket. See Bracket - Trim - Trunk - RH (Remove and Replace).
  23. Disconnect the subwoofer connector.
  24. Remove the subwoofer. See Subwoofer (Remove and Replace).
  25. Release the clips (x2) that attach the RH body harness to the external audio amplifier.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Clip pry tool
  26. Remove the external audio amplifier. See Amplifier - Audio - External (Remove and Replace).
  27. Disconnect the RH taillight lamp connector.
  28. Disconnect the liftgate harness connectors (x4).
  29. Remove the bolt that attaches the RH body harness ground cable to the body.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 6 in extension
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  30. Cut the lower portion of the RH rear wheelhouse insulator, and then release the lower portion of the insulator without removing the RH body harness.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Scissors
  31. Release the clips (x8) that attach the RH body harness to the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Clip pry tool
  32. Remove the RH rear wheelhouse insulator from vehicle.

Install

  1. Position the RH rear wheelhouse insulator on the vehicle, and then align the insulator with the body panel.
  2. Cut the lower portion of the RH rear wheelhouse insulator, and then install the lower portion of the insulator through the RH body harness.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Scissors
  3. Install the clips (x8) that attach the RH body harness to the body.
  4. Install the bolt that attaches the RH body harness ground cable to the body.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 6 in extension
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
  5. Connect the liftgate harness connectors (x4).
  6. Connect the RH taillight lamp connector.
  7. Install the external audio amplifier. See Amplifier - Audio - External (Remove and Replace).
  8. Install the clips (x2) that attach the RH body harness to the external audio amplifier.
  9. Install the subwoofer. See Subwoofer (Remove and Replace).
  10. Connect the subwoofer connector.
  11. Install the RH trunk side trim bracket. See Bracket - Trim - Trunk - RH (Remove and Replace).
  12. Install the RH inner reinforcement. See Reinforcement - Inner - LH (Remove and Replace).
  13. Install the RH trunk side trim. See Trim - Side - Trunk - RH (Remove and Replace).
  14. Install the RH trunk tie down on the RH side trim carpet.
  15. Install the RH upper C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  16. Unfold the RH 3rd row seat into original position.
  17. Connect the RH C-Pillar impact sensor.
  18. Install the RH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  19. Install the RH rear sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  20. Install the RH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
  21. Install the clips (x2) and push clips (x4) that attach the rear wall load support to the vehicle.
  22. Install the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  23. Install the LH and RH side rear trunk garnish. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
  24. Install the rear trunk carpet. See Carpet - Rear Trunk (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  25. Install the rear trunk floor NVH insulator. See NVH Insulator - Floor - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  26. Install the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  27. Close the liftgate.
  28. Move the RH monopost seat into original position.
  29. Close the RH falcon wing door.
  30. Move the RH front seat into original position.
  31. Raise the RH front window.
  32. Close the RH front door.
