Stabilizer Bar - Rear (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift
- Remove the rear fascia diffuser. See Diffuser - Rear Fascia (Remove and Replace).

Remove and discard the nut that
attaches the rear stabilizer bar assembly to the LH rear stabilizer bar end link. Repeat
this step for the RH stabilizer bar end link.
NoteBreak the nut loose, and then counter-hold the ball joint with 5mm hex.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 15 mm socket
- 5 mm hex

Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the
rear stabilizer bar to the subframe, and then remove the stabilizer bar from the
vehicle.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 11 mm socket
Install

Position the rear stabilizer bar to
the subframe, and then install the bolts (x4) that attach the stabilizer bar to the
vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 11 mm socket

Position the LH rear stabilizer bar
end link to the stabilizer bar assembly, install a new nut that attaches the link to the
assembly, and then mark the nut with a paint pen. Repeat this step for the RH stabilizer
bar end link.NoteAdjust the end link to align with stabilizer bar. May need to move the stabilizer bar up/down to get the correct angle to install end link.Tip: Use a 5mm hex tool to keep the stud from spinning.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 15 mm socket
- 5 mm hex
- Install the rear fascia diffuser. See Diffuser - Rear Fascia (Remove and Replace).
- Install the mid aero shield. See Panel - Aero Shield - Mid (Remove and Replace).
- Adjust the vehicle ride height. See Ride Height (Adjust).
- Refer to the Alignment Requirement tables to determine whether an EPAS alignment check (EC) or four wheel alignment check (AC) is necessary. If performed, add the alignment check/adjust as a separate activity. See Alignment Requirement - Suspension.
