Glass - Rear Quarter - LH (Remove and Install)

Remove
- Open the liftgate.
- Open the LH rear door.

Fold the LH 3rd row seat down.
- Remove the LH side rear trunk garnish. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH upper C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).

Apply tape to the vehicle body around
the LH rear quarter glass.

Apply masking tape onto the LH rear
quarter glass assembly and mark its current position.
NoteUse masking tape to mark current position to aid during the re-installation of the rear quarter glass.

Prepare the glazing wire and the
T-handles.

Cut the urethane, and then remove the
LH rear quarter glass from the vehicle.
Notex3 locator clips.NoteWhen using the glazing wire, start from the rear of the vehicle.NoteUse a blade (equalizer blade, equalizer blade handle, and equalizer hydroblade) as needed.NoteRemove any broken locator clips from the vehicle interior.

Clean excess urethane from the LH
quarter panel with Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) using the Winged Scraper Set (1080601-00-A
Gasket Scraper).

Clean excess urethane from the LH
quarter glass with IPA using the Winged Scraper Set (1080601-00-A Gasket Scraper).

Install

Apply primer to the mating surface of
the LH rear quarter glass.

Apply primer to the inside portion of
LH rear quarter glass.
NoteAllow time for the primer to dry before continuing.

Cut a triangle into the urethane
applicator tip approximately 8 mm wide and 14 mm tall, and then prepare the urethane
into the caulking gun.

Apply urethane onto the LH rear
quarter glass.
NoteBetaseal Express has a drive away time of one hour.

Install the LH rear quarter glass onto
the vehicle.
NoteVerify that the rear quarter glass is reusable.NoteLine up the glass with the previous marks.NoteApply tape to secure the rear quarter glass while the urethane cures.
- Install the LH upper C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH side rear trunk garnish. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).

Raise the LH 3rd row seat back into
the upright position.

Remove the tape from the rear quarter
glass area after the urethane has properly cured.
- Close the LH rear door.
- Close the liftgate.
