Trim - Middle - Instrument Panel - RH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the front doors and lower the front windows.
  2. Remove the RH IP end cap. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  4. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  5. Remove the instrument panel service panel. See Service Panel - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace)

    Note
    It is not necessary to remove the cabin temperature sensor fan from the service panel.
  6. Remove the touchscreen assembly. See Touchscreen (HW3) (Remove and Replace).

    Note
    It is not necessary to remove the display mechanism from the touchscreen after the assembly has been removed from the instrument panel.
  7. Release the tabs (x4) that attach the instrument panel closeout panel to the instrument panel, and then remove the closeout panel from the instrument panel.
  8. Release the tabs (x14) that attach the RH instrument panel middle trim to the instrument panel, and then remove the trim from the instrument panel.

Install

  1. Position the RH instrument panel middle trim to the instrument panel, and then secure the tabs (x14) that attach the trim to the instrument panel.
  2. Position the instrument panel closeout panel to the instrument panel, and then secure the tabs (x4) that attach the closeout panel to the instrument panel.
  3. Install the touchscreen assembly. See Touchscreen (HW3) (Remove and Replace).
  4. Install the instrument panel service panel. See Service Panel - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace)
  5. Install the RH IP end cap. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  7. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  8. Hold the button on the B-pillar in the down position to manually calibrate both falcon wing doors.
  9. Raise the front windows and close the front doors.
