Fan - Cushion - Driver Seat (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the driver seat from the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Install).
  2. Place the driver seat on a protected surface with the underside accessible.
  3. Release the seat back elastic straps (x2) from the seat frame.
  4. Release the soft trim retainers (x2) from the seat frame.
  5. Release the clip that attaches the driver seat harness to the seat frame bracket.
  6. Slide the OCS harness connector upward to release it from the SBR bracket, and then disconnect the electrical connector.
  7. Release the clip that attaches the seat harness to the cushion fan.
  8. Disconnect the driver seat cushion ventilation electrical connector from the cushion fan.
  9. Release the tabs that attach the lower portion of seat cushion fan to the seat frame.
    Tip: Release one side of the lower tabs from seat frame, then maneuver the fan to release the tab from the opposite side.
  10. Release the clips (x2) and tabs (x4) that attach the driver seat cushion fan to the seat frame.

    Clips are located on the upper left and right side of the fan. Depress the retaining clips while releasing the upper fan portion from the seat frame. Once the clips are clear from the seat frame, rotate the fan to clear the upper tabs.

Install

  1. Install the LH front seat cushion fan onto the seat frame.

    Note
    Start by installing the upper portion of the fan onto seat frame, and then verify retaining clips (x2) are fully engaged. Install the lower portion of fan onto seat frame one tab at a time.
  2. Secure that tabs (x2) that attach the lower portion of seat cushion fan to the seat frame.
  3. Connect the driver seat cushion ventilation electrical connector to the cushion fan.
  4. Fasten the clip that attaches the seat harness to the cushion fan.
  5. Slide the OCS harness connector downward onto the SBR bracket, and then connect the electrical connector.
  6. Fasten the clip that attaches the driver seat harness to the seat frame bracket.
  7. Install the soft trim retainers (x2) to the seat frame.
  8. Fasten the seat back elastic straps (x2) onto the seat frame.
  9. Position the seat upright.
  10. Install the driver seat from the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove and Install).
  11. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
  12. In Toolbox, click the Actions/Autodiag tab, and then search for "Calibration".
  13. Click VCSEAT Driver Seat CalibrationPROC_VCSEATD_SEAT-CALIBRATEModelSX/tasks/PROC_VCSEATD_SEAT-CALIBRATE Coriander/tasks/PROC_VCSEATD_SEAT-CALIBRATELow Voltage Controllers Low Voltage Controllers, and then click Run and allow the routine to complete.

  14. Disconnect Toolbox 3 and remove the laptop from the vehicle.
