Sensor - Ride Height - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

Correction code 31102802 0.48 NOTE: Unless otherwise explicitly stated in the procedure, the above correction code and FRT reflect all of the work required to perform this procedure, including the linked procedures. Remove

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  2. Remove the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  3. Release the clip on the LH front wheel arch liner.
  4. Disconnect the LH front ride height sensor electrical connector.
  5. Remove and discard the nut that attaches the LH front ride height sensor to the control arm.
    8 Nm (5.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  6. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH front ride height sensor to the vehicle, and then remove the sensor from the vehicle.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket

Install

  1. Position the LH front ride height sensor into the vehicle, and then install the bolt that attaches the sensor to the vehicle.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  2. Install a new nut that attaches the LH front ride height sensor to the control arm.
    8 Nm (5.9 lbs-ft)

    CAUTION
    Do not bind or invert the orientation of the sensor arm.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  3. Connect the LH ride height sensor electrical connector.
  4. Secure the clip on LH front wheel arch liner.
  5. Install the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  6. Remove the vehicle from the lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  7. Adjust the vehicle ride height. See Ride Height (Adjust).
