Puddle Light - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the LH falcon wing door.
  2. Move the LH monopost seat forward.
  3. Remove the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the side trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Side (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the rear trunk floor NVH insulator. See NVH Insulator - Floor - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the rear trunk carpet. See Carpet - Rear Trunk (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the LH and RH side rear trunk garnish. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the rear wall rear trunk trim. See .
  10. Remove the LH rear trunk crush can trim. See Trim - Crush Can - Rear Trunk - LH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Release the push clip that attaches the LH soft trim pocket bracket to the body, and then remove the bracket from the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Clip pry tool
  12. Remove the LH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  13. Remove the LH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
  14. Fold the LH 3rd row seat back downwards.
  15. Remove the LH upper C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  16. Remove the LH mid C-pillar zone bracket. See Bracket - Zone - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (6/7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  17. Remove the LH trunk side trim. See Trim - Side - Trunk - LH (6/7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  18. Release the rear trunk puddle light lens from the LH side carpet, and then remove the lens from the vehicle.

    Note
    Carefully pry from behind the carpet to release the lens.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Plastic trim tool
  19. Release the clips (x3) that attach the rear trunk puddle light to the LH side carpet, and then remove the light from the vehicle.

    Note
    Press in the clips, and then lift from the back of the puddle light to release.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Pick Miniature Soft Grip, 90 degree tip, 6 in

Install

  1. Position the rear trunk puddle light on the vehicle, and then install the clips (x3) that attach the light to the LH side carpet.
  2. Install the rear trunk puddle light lens on the LH side carpet.

    Note
    Line up the lens tabs with the puddle lamp.
  3. Install the LH trunk side trim. See Trim - Side - Trunk - LH (6/7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  4. Install the LH mid C-pillar zone bracket. See Bracket - Zone - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (6/7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install the LH upper C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Unfold the LH 3rd row seat back into original position.
  7. Install the LH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Install the LH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
  9. Position the LH soft trim pocket bracket on the vehicle, and then install the push clip that attaches the bracket to the body.
  10. Install the LH rear trunk crush can trim. See Trim - Crush Can - Rear Trunk - LH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Install the rear wall rear trunk trim. See .
  12. Install the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  13. Install the LH and RH side rear trunk garnish. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
  14. Install the rear trunk carpet. See Carpet - Rear Trunk (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  15. Install the rear trunk floor NVH insulator. See NVH Insulator - Floor - Rear Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  16. Install the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  17. Install the side trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Side (Remove and Replace).
  18. Close the liftgate.
  19. Move the LH monopost seat into original position.
  20. Close the LH falcon wing door.
