Retractor - Seatbelt - 2nd Row - Center (5 Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH 2nd row seat seat back sub-assembly. See Seat Back Sub-Assembly - 2nd Row Seat - LH (5 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the center 2nd row seatbelt escutcheon bracket. See Bracket - Escutcheon - Seatbelt - 2nd Row - Center (5 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove and discard the bolt that attaches the center 2nd row seatbelt retractor to the seat frame, and then remove the retractor from the seat frame.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Torx T50 socket

Install

  1. Position the center 2nd row seatbelt retractor on the seat frame, and then install a new bolt that attaches the retractor to the seat frame.
    45 Nm (33.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Torx T50 socket
  2. Install the center 2nd row seatbelt escutcheon bracket. See Bracket - Escutcheon - Seatbelt - 2nd Row - Center (5 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  3. Install the LH 2nd row seat seat back sub-assembly. See Seat Back Sub-Assembly - 2nd Row Seat - LH (5 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  4. Enable service mode. See Service Mode (Enable and Disable).
  5. Perform a software reinstall. See Firmware Reinstall - Touchscreen.
  6. Exit service mode. See Service Mode (Enable and Disable).
  7. Raise the LH and RH front windows.
  8. Close all four doors.
