  1. Open LH front door
  2. Lower LH front window
  3. Raise and support vehicle

    Prepare to raise vehicle, Set air suspension to "Jack Mode", Position lift arm pads on vehicle jack pads, DO NOT position the lift arm pads under the battery or side rails, as shown in red
  4. Release IP service panel

  5. Using laptop connect to vehicle with ethernet diag kit and Toolbox 3
  6. Select ‘Actions’ tab and search for ‘TAS service mode’
  7. Select ‘ PROC_TAS_X_ENTER-SERVICE-MODEvia Toolbox: (link) ’, click ‘Run’, and allow routine to complete

  21. Remove LH front wheel

  28. Remove nut and bolt securing LH front air spring module to front lower aft link assembly

  29. Release the LH front upper control arm from the suspension assembly

  30. Lower vehicle for access to underhood area

  31. Release remote brake fluid reservoir from LH FST cap

  32. Release LH FST cap from multi-system beam

  33. Release LH FST cap from shock tower and remove from vehicle

  34. Release air line fitting from LH air spring module

  35. Remove VOSS fitting from air spring module air line

    1x VOSS fitting, Slide threaded section back, Remove the collet, Then slide threaded section off of air line, Discard after removal
  36. Remove nuts securing the LH front air spring module and remove

    3x nuts, 13mm, 39 Nm, Use one hand to hold the air spring module before completely removing the last nut, Use caution to not get caught on harnesses and connectors
  37. Position and install LH front air spring module

  38. Remove plug and install air line into LH air spring module

    Press hose into fitting until mark aligns with top of fitting
  39. Raise vehicle partially and lower onto locks

  40. Secure LH front knuckle to upper control arm

  41. Install bolt and nut securing LH front air spring module to front lower aft link

  42. Route ANC sensor and damper bracket and secure to LH front air spring module

  43. Secure LH front brake line to LH front air spring module

  49. Lower vehicle until tires are touching the ground

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
  50. Remove Schrader valve cap from air reservoir

  51. Set up nitrogen tank kit to fill reservoir

    Verify valves are set to the closed position on the tank, regulator and the air line
  52. Connect nitrogen tank hose to reservoir

    Early production VINs have AC valves fittings and need an adapter for schrader fill type ports
  53. Open valve on nitrogen tank and set pressure to 8 bar using regulator

    Slowly open valve and adjust regulator, Verify pressure is set to 8 bar, If the pressure is not within this range, TAS assisted inflate routine will not operate
  54. Open valve on nitrogen tank hose
  55. Verify pressure holds on the regulator valve gauge

    8 bar, If pressure does not hold, there may be a leak present, Use regulator valve to adjust amount of psi as needed
  56. Re-establish vehicle connection to Toolbox 3

    Open Toolbox 3 website and establish connection to the vehicle. https://toolbox.teslamotors.com, Select connection status icon at top right corner, and select connect locally (icon will turn green when vehicle is connected)
  57. Select ‘Actions’ tab and search for ‘Inflate"

  59. Close valve on the nitrogen tank

  61. Close the pressure regulator valve on the nitrogen tank to release the line pressure in the lines
  62. Remove the nitrogen tank hose from the reservoir
  63. Install cap onto reservoir valve
  64. Raise vehicle partially and lower onto locks

  65. Remove LH front wheel

  66. Perform measurement and inspection between LH front air spring solenoid and brake line

    Recommend usage of a digital caliper, Perform measurement between LH front air spring and the brake hose, The clearance must be greater than 15mm and less than 20mm, If measurement is out of spec then rework is required, Inspect brake line and air spring for signs of damage or rubbing, If component damage is present then create a toolbox session and escalate for assistance, Determine if replacement will be required
  67. Carefully rework and adjust LH damper tube position

    Note the air springs must be pressurized in order to perform adjustment, Do not adjust if the spring is not pressurized or damage will occurCarefully adjust lower portion of the LH air spring, Grip the damper tube on both sides and rotate slowly, Adjust in direction required to achieve the correct specification, Do not pinch or damage any electrical connections, After adjustment, the LH air spring should be near centered on the lower aft link ball joint
  68. Verify measurement between LH front air spring solenoid and brake line

    After adjusting strut position, verify measurement between LH front air spring and the brake hose again, The clearance must be greater than 15mm and less than 20mm
  69. Install LH front wheel

  70. Lower vehicle until tires are touching the ground

  71. Torque LH front wheel

  77. Remove air suspension from "Jack Mode" and set to "Standard"

  92. Refer to the Alignment Requirement tables to determine whether an EPAS alignment check (EC) or four wheel alignment check (AC) is necessary. If performed, add the alignment check/adjust as a separate activity. See Alignment Requirement - Suspension.
