Reservoir - Windshield Washer (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
- Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH and RH underhood aprons. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the front underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Front (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).

Disconnect the reservoir washer hose
from the straight hose coupling at the cowl screen.

Remove the clip that attaches the
windshield washer reservoir neck to the body, and then release the neck from the
body.
- Remove the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Remove the LH front wheel arch liner. See Wheel Arch Liner - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).

Disconnect the windshield washer
reservoir level sensor electrical connector.

Disconnect the windshield washer
reservoir pump electrical connector.

Release the clips (x3) that attach the
frunk harness to the windshield washer reservoir.

Release the reservoir washer hose from
the hooks (x6) and tabs (x2) on the windshield washer reservoir, and then remove the
hose from the vehicle.

Separate the windshield washer
reservoir neck from the windshield washer reservoir.
NoteInspect the O-ring and replace if damaged.

Remove the windshield washer reservoir
level sensor from the windshield washer reservoir, and then allow the washer fluid to
drain.

Inspect the windshield washer
reservoir level sensor seal for damage. Replace the seal if damaged.

Disconnect the reservoir washer hose from the windshield washer reservoir pump.

Pull the windshield washer reservoir
pump upward to release it from the windshield washer reservoir, and then remove the pump
from the vehicle.

Remove the nuts (x3) that attach the
windshield washer reservoir to the vehicle, and then remove the reservoir from the
vehicle.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
Install

Position the windshield washer reservoir into the vehicle, and then install the nuts
(x3) that attach the reservoir to the vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Position the windshield washer
reservoir pump into the vehicle, and then install the pump into the windshield washer
reservoir.
NoteFully seat the pump into the grommet and face the hose coupling forward.

Connect the reservoir washer hose from
windshield washer reservoir pump.

Position the windshield washer
reservoir level sensor into the vehicle, and then install the sensor into the windshield
washer reservoir.
NoteAlign the square edge with the mark on the reservoir housing.

Connect the windshield washer reservoir neck to the windshield washer
reservoir.
NoteInspect the O-ring and replace if damaged.NoteLubricate the O-ring with washer fluid to prevent damage.

Position the reservoir washer hose
onto windshield washer reservoir, and then secure the hose into the hooks (x6) and tabs
(x2) that attach the hose to the reservoir.

Secure the clips (x3) that attach the frunk harness to the windshield washer
reservoir.

Connect the windshield washer reservoir pump electrical connector.

Connect the windshield washer
reservoir level sensor electrical connector.
- Install the LH front wheel arch liner. See Wheel Arch Liner - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).

Install the clip that attaches the windshield washer reservoir neck to the
body.

Connect the reservoir washer hose to
the straight hose coupling at the cowl screen.
- Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
- Install the front underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Front (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH and RH underhood aprons. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).

Fill the windshield washer reservoir
until the fluid level is visible just below the filler neck.
- Close the hood.
- Remove the vehicle from the lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
- Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
