Buckle - 2nd Row - LH (5 Seat) (Remove and Replace)

CAUTION
Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) components can be hazardous if not serviced and handled correctly. See Air Bag and Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) Precautions
CAUTION
In the event of an airbag or seatbelt pretensioner deployment, certain components must be replaced, and other components must be inspected for damage. Refer to the Collision Repair Manual for a specific list of items that must be inspected and replaced.

Remove

  1. Open all four doors.
  2. Lower both front windows.
  3. Move the LH front seat forward.
  4. Release the LH 2nd row buckle connector harness clip, and then disconnect the buckle connector.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Clip pry tool
  5. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH 2nd row buckle to the seat frame, and then remove the buckle from the seat.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Ratchet 3/8in Dr Flex Head
    • ocket Internal Torx Plus 3/8in Dr. T50
    • Extension 3/8in Dr. x 6in Locking
    • Extension 3/8in Dr. x 3in
    • Worklight LED
    • Small flat head screwdriver
    Note
    Insert socket and extensions into the opening between the seat foam and the metal seat pan under seat assembly.

Replace

  1. Position the LH 2nd row buckle on the seat frame, and then install the bolt that attaches the buckle to the frame.
    45 Nm (33.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Ratchet 3/8in Dr Flex Head
    • ocket Internal Torx Plus 3/8in Dr. T50
    • Extension 3/8in Dr. x 6in Locking
    • Extension 3/8in Dr. x 3in
    • Worklight LED
    • Small flat head screwdriver
  2. Connect the LH 2nd row buckle connector, and then install the clip that attaches the buckle connector harness to the seat frame.
  3. Move the LH front seat to the original position.
  4. Raise both front windows.
  5. Close all four doors.
