  1. Raise and support vehicle

    Prepare to raise vehicle, Set air suspension to "Jack Mode", Position lift arm pads on vehicle jack pads, DO NOT position the lift arm pads under the battery or side rails, as shown in red
  2. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
  3. Power off vehicle via center display

  4. Disconnect LV battery connector and First Responder Loop

    2x connectors, Lift up and release green locking tab, Pull black connector lock outwards to release connection, Release red lock tab on FRL
  5. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side
  6. Remove clips securing front aero shield

  7. Remove bolts securing front aero shield and remove from vehicle

    9x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm
  8. Release clips securing wheel house liner to front skid plate

  9. Remove bolts securing front skid plate to body sill

    2x bolts, 15mm, 30 Nm
  10. Remove bolts securing front skid plate to body casting

    2x bolts, 15mm, 60 Nm
  11. Remove bolts securing front skid plate to front subframe and remove skid plate

  12. Place coolant catcher below LH front of vehicle
  13. Lower vehicle until tires are touching the ground

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
  14. Place absorbent material under PT coolant pump

    Place absorbent material to cover EPAS electrical connectors, Prevent coolant ingress
  15. Release PT supply pump inlet hose from PT coolant pump

  16. Release PT supply pump inlet hose from supermanifold

    1x hose clip, 2x plugs, Plug both ends, Use absorbent material to cover connectors as required, Remove from vehicle
  17. Secure PT supply pump inlet hose to supermanifold

    1x hose clip, Remove any plugs, Perform push-pull-push test
  18. Secure PT supply pump inlet hose onto PT coolant pump

    1x hose clip, 2x hose plugs, Remove any plugs and secure hose, Perform push-pull-push test
  19. Remove absorbent material from under PT coolant pump

    Clean away excess residue as needed
  20. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks

  21. Clean coolant residue from vehicle
  22. Remove coolant catcher from under vehicle
  23. Position front skid plate for installation and thread in all bolts

  28. Apply Loctite 222 onto front aero shield bolts and install fasteners securing front aero shield to vehicle

  30. Lower vehicle fully

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
  31. Remove coolant bottle cap
  32. Inspect coolant level and top off as necessary

    Ensure that the fluid level is at the Max line, Top off fluid as required
  33. Connect First Responder Loop and LV battery connector

    2x connectors, Secure FRL first, Seat LV battery connection and push black connector lock inwards to secure, Engage upper locking tab when fully seated
  34. Release IP service panel

  35. Using laptop connect to vehicle with ethernet diag kit and Toolbox 3

    Open Toolbox 3 website and establish connection to the vehicle, https://toolbox.teslamotors.com, For local connection issues with Toolbox 3 refer to https://toolbox.teslamotors.com/articles/43695, Media converter box is powered by laptop using USB, Ethernet connection will provide communication
  36. Select "Actions/Autodiag" tab and search for "Purge"
  37.     Make sure vehicle is not in drive state, Routine is still running despite the stop message, Coolant pumps will be audible, Test lasts approximately 10 mins, Putting vehicle into drive state will stop this routine, Monitor levels as required
  38. Disconnect Toolbox 3 from vehicle and remove laptop and ethernet diag kit
  39. Install IP service panel

    2x tabs, 4 datums, Slide forward engaging datums then secure tabs upward into IP
  40. Inspect coolant level and top off as necessary

    Ensure that the fluid level is at the Max line, Top off fluid as required
  41. Install coolant bottle cap
  42. Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
  43. Remove vehicle from lift

    Lower rack arms fully and remove them from under vehicle, Remove air suspension from "Jack Mode"
