Remove

  1. Connect a laptop with Toolbox to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  2. In Toolbox, click Actions, and then search for ‘BCS2L’.
  3. Click PROC_REAR_MONO-SEAT-ENABLE-INSTALL-MODE, and then click Run. Allow the routine to complete.
  4. Disconnect the laptop from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).

    Note
    Do not close Toolbox as it will be needed to resume later.
  5. Move the driver seat fully forward.
  6. Remove the LH and RH rear sill panel trims. See Trim - Sill Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the 2nd row floor mat. See Floor Mat - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the 2nd row mid floor panel. See Floor Panel - Mid - 2nd Row (6 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the LH 2nd row seat post inner and outer trim panels. See Trim - Outer - Seat Post - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace) and Trim - Inner - Seat Post - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the LH 2nd row seat sliding plate carpet.

    Note
    Carpet is 1 time use only. Replace the carpet after peeling it from the podium.
  11. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the LH 2nd row seat sliding plate to the seat base.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
  12. Remove the LH 2nd row seat sliding plate.

    Note
    Gently slide plate forward to release the clips, and then lift up and remove the plate.
  13. Remove the carpet from the 2nd row seat sliding plate. Remove remaining adhesive residue with IPA wipes.

Install

  1. Position the 2nd row seat sliding plate.

    Note
    Gently slide the plate into the tabs (x2) to engage.
  2. Install the screws (x2) that attach the 2nd row seat sliding plate to the lower seat bracket.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
  3. Install the new 2nd row seat sliding plate carpet.

    Note
    Carpet is one time use only. Install new carpet anytime it is removed from the panel.
  4. Install the LH 2nd row seat post inner and outer trim panels. See Trim - Outer - Seat Post - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace) and Trim - Inner - Seat Post - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install the 2nd row mid floor panel. See Floor Panel - Mid - 2nd Row (6 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the 2nd row floor mat. See Floor Mat - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the LH and RH rear sill panel trims. See Trim - Sill Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Restore the driver seat back to its original position.
  9. Reconnect a laptop with Toolbox to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  10. In Toolbox, click PROC_REAR_MONO-SEAT-DISABLE-INSTALL-MODE, and then click Run. Allow the routine to complete.
  11. Disconnect the laptop from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
