1. Open the LH front door.
2. Lower both front windows.
3. Press brake pedal to turn on drive rails

   

4. Set air suspension ride height to “Very High”
   Note

   Via center display > Controls > Suspension > ''Very High''

   

5. Turn steering wheel fully to right

   

6. Open the hood.

   

7. Remove the rear underhood apron.

   

   

8. Remove the LH underhood apron.

   

   

   

   

9. Remove the RH underhood apron.

   

   

   

   

10. Remove the front underhood apron.

    

    

11. Remove bolts securing upper portion of front fascia
    Note

    6x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm

    

12. Remove fasteners securing LH front wheel liner to valence
    Note

    1x bolt, T30, 1.5 Nm, 3x clips, Move front portion of wheel liner backwards to access fairing

    

    

    

13. Remove LH front wheel fairing from valence
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 1.5 Nm, 1x securing tab

    

14. Partially remove front portion of LH front fender garnish
    Note

    2x clips, 8x tabs, Careful to not damage dummy ultra sonic sensor when removing garnish

    

    

15. Remove bolt securing LH front of fascia to LH front fender
    Note

    1x bolt, 8mm, 1.5 Nm

    

16. Disconnect fascia camera hose from washer pump
    Note

    1x hose, Release locking tab to disconnect washer hose

    

17. Press brake pedal to turn on drive rails

    

18. Turn steering wheel fully to left

    

19. Remove clips securing RH front wheel liner to valence
    Note

    4x clips, Move front portion of wheel liner backwards to access fairing

    

    

20. Remove RH front wheel fairing from valence
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 1.5 Nm, 1x securing tab

    

21. Partially remove front portion of RH front fender garnish
    Note

    2x clips, 8x tabs, Careful to not damage dummy ultra sonic sensor when removing garnish

    

    

22. Remove bolt securing RH front of fascia to RH front fender
    Note

    1x bolt, 8mm, 1.5 Nm

    

23. Power off the vehicle using the touchscreen.

    

24. Disconnect the LV battery connector and First Responder Loop.

    

    

    

25. Disconnect front fascia assembly
    Note

    2x connectors, Release locking tabs then disconnect, 1x nano nozzle

    

26. Remove fasteners securing lower portion of front fascia to valence
    Note

    3x bolts, 10mm, 3 Nm, 2x clips

    

    

    

    

27. Apply masking tape to protect LH and RH front fenders

    

    

28. Remove front fascia assembly from vehicle
    Note

    Recommend assistance, Release fascia from LH and RH fender brackets, Careful not to damage the fender bracket when removing fascia, Place on protected surface to avoid damage

    

    

    

29. Disconnect LH front fascia lamp
    Note

    1x connector

    

30. Disconnect RH front fascia lamp
    Note

    1x connector

    

31. Remove LV jumper wires from access cover
    Note

    2x wires, Squeeze retaining tabs together and gently remove wires from cover

    

32. Disconnect front BLE
    Note

    1x connector, Do not push down on red tab, Pull red tab to disengage lock, Pull again to release connector

    

33. Disconnect pedestrian warning
    Note

    1x connector, Do not push down on red tab, Pull red tab to disengage lock, Pull again to release connector

    

34. Disconnect front fascia camera
    Note

    1x locking tab connector, 1x nano nozzle

    

35. Release front fascia harness from front fascia assembly
    Note

    10x clip

    

    

    

    

36. Remove screws securing LH front fascia lamp
    Note

    3x screws, T25, 2.5 Nm

    

37. Remove LH front fascia lamp
    Note

    4x tabs

    

38. Remove screws RH front fascia lamp
    Note

    3x screws, T25, 2.5 Nm

    

39. Remove RH front fascia lamp
    Note

    4x tabs

    

    

    

40. Remove Front Fascia Foam
    Note

    2x clips

    

41. Remove fasteners securing LH and RH lower valance to front fascia
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 3 Nm, 4x push clips

    

    

42. Remove lower valence from front fascia assembly
    Note

    10x tabs

    

    

    

43. Remove front fascia camera cover
    Note

    2x screws, T20, 4 Nm

    

44. Remove screws securing front fascia grille
    Note

    2x screws, T25, 1 Nm

    

    

45. Remove front fascia grille from front fascia assembly
    Note

    11x tabs

    

    

    

46. Remove T badge carrier from front fascia
    Note

    1x screw, T25, 3 Nm, 6x tabs

    

    

47. Place new front fascia assembly on padded work bench
    Note

    When replacing with 1588184-S0-D (MX FRONT FASCIA SVC, UNPAINTED), Refer to Front Fascia Assembly (Rework) procedure, https://pds.tesla.com/pdsui/procedure/edit/682e363c0c19ece0cb7dda01

    

48. Install T badge carrier onto front fascia assembly
    Note

    1x screw, T25, 3 Nm, 6x Tabs

    

    

49. Install front fascia grille onto front fascia assembly
    Note

    11x tabs, Position tabs into place prior to applying pressure, Verify grille is fully seated.

    

    

50. Install screws securing front fascia grille
    Note

    2x screws, T25, 1 Nm

    

    

51. Install front fascia foam
    Note

    2x clips

    

52. Install front fascia camera cover
    Note

    2x screws, T20, 4 Nm

    

53. Install lower valence onto front fascia assembly
    Note

    10x tabs, Recommend assistance, Position tabs into place prior to applying pressure, Verify trim is fully seated

    

    

    

54. Install fasteners securing LH and RH lower valance to front fascia
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 3 Nm, 4x push clips

    

    

55. Install RH front fascia lamp
    Note

    4x tabs

    

    

    

56. Install screws securing RH front fascia lamp
    Note

    3x screws, T25, 2.5 Nm

    

57. Install LH front fascia lamp
    Note

    4x tabs

    

    

    

58. Install screws securing LH front fascia lamp
    Note

    3x screws, T25, 2.5 Nm

    

59. Install front fascia harness onto front fascia assembly
    Note

    10x clips

    

    

    

    

60. Connect front fascia camera
    Note

    1x locking tab connector, 1x nano nozzle

    

61. Connect pedestrian warning
    Note

    1x connector, Engage locking tab

    

62. Connect front BLE
    Note

    1x connector, Engage locking tab

    

63. Install LV jumper wires onto access cover
    Note

    2x wires, Ensure both wire terminals are fully seated behind retaining tabs

    

64. Connect RH front fascia lamp
    Note

    1x connector

    

65. Connect LH front fascia lamp
    Note

    1x connector

    

66. Install front fascia onto vehicle
    Note

    Recommend assistance, Slide LH and RH side of fascia into fenders, Careful not to damage the fender bracket when installing fascia

    

    

    

67. Remove masking tape from front fenders

    

    

68. Install bolt securing fascia to RH fender bracket
    Note

    1x bolt, 8mm, 5 Nm

    

69. Connect front fascia harness onto frunk harness
    Note

    2x connectors, Engage locking tab, Located behind RH wheel arch liner

    

70. Install RH front fender garnish
    Note

    2x clips, 8x tabs, Secure from top to bottom of front bumper

    

    

    

71. Install RH front wheel fairing to valence
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 1.5 Nm

    

72. Install push clips securing RH front wheel liner onto fascia
    Note

    4x clips

    

    

73. Connect the First Responder Loop and LV battery connector.

    

    

74. Press brake pedal to turn on drive rails

    

75. Turn steering wheel fully to right

    

76. Connect fascia camera hose to washer pump
    Note

    1x hose, Secure locking tab

    

77. Install bolt securing fascia onto LH fender bracket
    Note

    1x bolt, 8mm, 5 Nm

    

78. Install LH front fender garnish
    Note

    2x clips, 8x tabs, Secure from top to bottom of front bumper

    

    

    

79. Install LH front wheel fairing to valence
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 1.5 Nm, 1x securing tab

    

80. Install fasteners securing LH front wheel liner to valence
    Note

    1x bolt, T30, 1.5 Nm, 3x clips

    

    

    

81. Install fasteners securing lower portion of front fascia to valence
    Note

    3x bolts, 10mm, 3 Nm, 2x clips

    

    

    

    

82. Install bolts securing upper portion of front fascia
    Note

    4x bolts, 10mm, 7 Nm, Ensure proper fascia-to-headlamp gap and flushness

    

83. Install the front underhood apron.

    

    

84. Install the LH underhood apron.

    

    

    

    

85. Install the RH underhood apron.

    

    

    

    

86. Install the rear underhood apron.

    

    

87. Close the hood.
88. Press brake pedal to turn on drive rails

    

89. Turn steering wheel back to center

    

90. Set air suspension ride height to Medium
    Note

    Using center display > Suspension > Medium/Standard

    

91. Raise both front windows.
92. Close the LH front door.
