Switch - Lid - Center Console (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open all four doors.
  2. Lower the LH and RH front windows.
  3. Move the LH and RH front seats forward.
  4. Remove the center console lower rear panel. See Panel - Lower Rear - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the 1st row center console assembly. See Center Console Assembly - 1st Row (Remove and Install).
  6. Release the tabs (x3) that attach the center console lid switch harness to the 1st row center console assembly, and then remove the tape that attaches the switch harness to the harness bundle.
  7. Release the center console lid switch connector from the 1st row center console assembly, and then disconnect the switch connector.
  8. Remove the screw that attaches the center console lid switch to the 1st row center console assembly, and then remove the switch from the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Mini ratchet bit set - 1450424-00-A

Install

  1. Position the center console lid switch on the 1st row center console assembly, and then install the screw that attaches the switch to the console.
    0.7 Nm (6 lbs-in)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Mini ratchet bit set - 1450424-00-A
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
  2. Connect the center console lid switch connector, and then install the connector on the 1st row center console assembly.
  3. Install the tabs (x3) that attach the center console lid switch harness to the 1st row center console assembly. Use tape to attach the switch harness to the harness bundle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Harness tape
    • Scissors
  4. Install the 1st row center console assembly. See Center Console Assembly - 1st Row (Remove and Install).
  5. Install the center console lower rear panel. See Panel - Lower Rear - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  6. Move the LH and RH front seats to original position.
  7. Raise the LH and RH front windows.
  8. Close all four doors.
