Height Adjuster - Seat Belt - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door.
  2. Lower the LH front window.
  3. Open LH falcon wing door.
  4. Move the LH front seat backwards.
  5. Release the LH front door seal from the B-pillar trim.
  6. Release the clips (x5) that attach the upper portion of the LH lower B-pillar to the LH upper B-pillar.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Clip pry tool
    • Plastic trim tool
  7. Release the clips (x3) and magnets (x2) that attach the LH upper B-pillar trim to the B-pillar, and then disconnect the LH falcon wing door button electrical connector.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Clip pry tool
    • Plastic trim tool
    • Pocket screwdriver
  8. Move the LH upper B-pillar trim aside.
  9. Remove and discard the nut that attaches the LH 1st row upper seatbelt to the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 17 mm deep socket
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
  10. Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that attach the LH seat belt height adjuster to the vehicle, and then remove the adjuster from the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket
    • Ratchet/torque wrench

Install

  1. Position the LH seat belt height adjuster on the vehicle, and then install the new bolts (x2) that attach the adjuster to the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
  2. Install a new nut that attaches the LH 1st row upper seatbelt to the vehicle.
    25 Nm (18.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 17 mm deep socket
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
  3. Connect the LH falcon wing door button electrical connector, and then install the clips (x3) and magnets (x2) that attach the LH upper B-pillar trim to the B-pillar.

    Replace the clips if damaged.

    Guide the seat belt through the LH seat belt height adjuster opening, and then align the height adjuster slider to adjustable D-ring.
  4. Install the clips (x5) that attach the upper portion of the LH lower B-pillar to the LH upper B-pillar.

    Replace clips if damaged.
  5. Fully seat the LH front door seal on the B-pillar trim.
  6. Move the LH front seat to original position.
  7. Close the LH falcon wing door.
  8. Raise the LH front window.
  9. Close the LH front door.
