Remove

  1. Open the RH front door.
  2. Move the front passenger seat rearward.
  3. Remove the RH front floor mat.
  4. Remove the passenger footwell cover. See Cover - Footwell - Passenger (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the RH center console side panel carpet. See Carpet - Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace)
  6. Remove the RH front sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)
  7. Remove the RH instrument panel end cap. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the RH middle A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the RH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  11. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  12. Remove the front passenger knee airbag assembly. See Knee Airbag - Front Passenger (Remove and Replace).

    Note
    It is not necessary to remove components from the airbag assembly after the assembly has been removed from the instrument panel.
  13. Release the RH footwell duct air temperature sensor from the HVAC assembly, disconnect the electrical connector, and then remove the sensor from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Position the RH footwell duct air temperature sensor into the vehicle, and then connect the electrical connector.
  2. Install the RH footwell duct air temperature sensor into the HVAC assembly.

    Note
    Make sure the sensor is flush to the HVAC assembly.
  3. Install the front passenger knee airbag assembly. See Knee Airbag - Front Passenger (Remove and Replace).

    It is not necessary to remove components from the airbag assembly after the assembly has been removed from the instrument panel.
  4. Install the RH center console side panel carpet. See Carpet - Side Panel - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace)
  5. Install the passenger footwell cover. See Cover - Footwell - Passenger (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the RH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the RH middle A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Install the RH instrument panel end cap. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  9. Install the RH front sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)
  10. Install the RH front floor mat.
  11. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  12. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  13. Move the front passenger seat to the original position.
  14. Calibrate the rear doors.
