Door Glass - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Lower the LH rear window.
  2. Open the LH rear door partially.
  3. Remove the LH rear outer belt trim.

    Starting from the rear edge, lift and roll the trim outward slowly and evenly.

    CAUTION
    Be careful not to bend or damage components.
  4. Open the LH falcon wing door.
  5. Remove the LH rear door trim lower garnish. See Garnish - Lower - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the LH rear door trim decor. See Decor - Trim - Rear Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the LH rear door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Set the LH Falcon door at a comfortable working height.
  9. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  10. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  11. Remove the LH rear door inner belt seal.
  12. Release the orange locking tab, and then disconnect the LH falcon wing door air bag electrical connector.
  13. Remove the screws (x10) that attach the LH rear door closeout panel to the LH rear door.
    1.8 Nm (1.3 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
  14. Remove the screws (x3) that attach the LH rear window motor to the LH rear door closeout panel.
    1.8 Nm (1.3 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T30 socket
  15. Release the tabs (x2) that attach the LH rear door closeout panel to the LH rear door, pull the closeout panel away from door, and then lift the window motor upward to release it.
  16. Release the black locking tab, and then disconnect the LH falcon wing door protection ECU.
  17. Disconnect the electrical connectors (x2) from the LH falcon wing door module.
  18. Release the clips (x7) that attach the harnesses and connectors to the LH rear door closeout panel.
  19. Release the clip, and then feed the door release cable through the LH rear door closeout panel.
  20. Loosen the nut that attaches the front of the glass to the regulator.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)

    Note
    The nut does not need to be fully removed. If required, power the vehicle back on and use the window switch tool to move the regulator for nut access.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10mm socket
  21. Partially close the LH rear door.

    Do not engage the latch.
  22. With assistance, release the clip that attaches the rear of LH rear door glass to the regulator, and then remove the glass from the vehicle.

    Note
    Working from the outside of the vehicle, pull the front of the glass towards the rear of the vehicle, and then lift the glass out from the door.

Install

  1. Inspect the regulator for glass splinters or other debris, and clean it if necessary.

    CAUTION
    Debris and splinters may damage or shatter the new door glass.
  2. With assistance, carefully position the LH rear door glass into the LH rear door, and then seat the glass into the rear clip and forward brace.
  3. Verify the LH rear door glass fitment, and then torque the nut that secures the front of the glass to the regulator.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10mm socket
  4. Feed the door release cable through the LH rear door closeout panel, and then secure the clip.

    Note
    Lubricate the cable grommet to aid in installation.
  5. Position the LH rear door window motor onto the back of the closeout panel, and then secure the tabs that attach the motor to the closeout panel.
  6. Install the screws (x3) that attach the LH rear window motor to the LH rear door closeout panel.
    1.8 Nm (1.3 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T30 socket
  7. Install the screws (x10) that attach the LH rear door closeout panel to the LH rear door.
    1.8 Nm (1.3 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
  8. Connect the LH falcon wing door protection ECU electrical connector, and then engage the locking tab.
  9. Connect the LH falcon wing door air bag electrical connector, and then engage the orange locking tab.
  10. Connect the electrical connectors (x2) to the LH falcon wing door module.
  11. Install the clips (x7) that attach the harnesses and connectors to the LH rear door closeout panel.
  12. Install the LH rear door inner belt seal.
  13. Manually partially close the LH rear door.

    Do not engage the latch.
  14. Install the LH rear door outer belt trim.
  15. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  16. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  17. Raise the LH rear window.
  18. Test that the LH rear window is functioning correctly.
  19. Check the LH rear window fitment and adjust as necessary.

  20. Install the LH rear door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  21. Calibrate the rear doors.

    If the "Calibration Needed" message appears on the vehicle touchscreen, touch and hold Calibrate to calibrate the rear doors
