Module - Rear Door Controller- LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the LH doors and lower the LH windows.
  2. Remove the LH rear door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  4. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  5. Disconnect the LH rear door controller module connectors (x2).
  6. Remove the screws (x3) that attach the LH rear door controller module to the door assembly, and then remove the module from the assembly.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T20 socket

Install

  1. Position the LH rear door controller module to the door assembly, and then install the screws (x3) that attach the module to the assembly.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T20 socket
  2. Connect the LH rear door controller module connectors (x2).
  3. Position the LH rear door trim panel onto the LH rear door, connect the electrical connectors (x2), and then secure the clips (x13) that attach the panel to the door.

    Note
    Install the trim panel starting from the top. Make sure the trim panel tap is fitted correctly on the inner belt seal.
  4. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  5. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  6. Enable Service Mode via the vehicle touchscreen. See Service Mode (Enable and Disable).
  7. On the vehicle touchscreen, touch Software Reinstall, and then touch REQUEST.

    Note
    Confirm a successful request message appears.
  8. Install the bolts (x8) that attach the LH rear door trim panel to the LH rear door.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  9. Install the LH rear door trim decor. See Decor - Trim - Rear Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the LH rear door trim lower garnish. See Garnish - Lower - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Confirm that software redeploy is complete, and that release notes are present.
  12. Exit Service Mode.
  13. Raise the LH windows and close the LH doors.
