Harness - Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH 2nd row seat from the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  2. Move the LH 2nd row seat back to the upright position.
  3. Release the J-hooks (x6) that attach the rear toe kick to the seat assembly.

    Note
    Release the lower outer two J-hooks to expose inner 4 clips.
  4. Unzip the LH 2nd row seat back upholstery on both sides.

    Note
    The ends of zippers are tucked underneath upholstery.
    Tip: Use a pick to move the zipper.
  5. Release the J-hook that attaches the LH 2nd row seat back upholstery to the seat assembly, and then move the upholstery away from the plastic seat back.
  6. Release the clips (x13) that attach the LH 2nd row plastic seat back to the seat assembly, and then remove the plastic seat back from the seat assembly.
  7. Remove the screws (x3) that attach the inboard seat riser cover to the LH 2nd row inboard seat riser.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T20 socket
  8. Remove the screw that attaches the outboard seat riser cover to the LH 2nd row inboard seat riser.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T20 socket
  9. Release the clips (x2) that attach the outboard seat riser cover to the LH 2nd row inboard seat riser, and then remove the inboard and outboard covers from the seat riser.
  10. Repeat step 7 through step 9 for the 2nd row outboard seat riser.
  11. Release the clips (x2) that attach the LH 2nd row seat assembly harness to the securing guide bracket.
  12. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat seat track position sensor electrical connector.
  13. Release the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row seat assembly harness to the center underseat bracket.
  14. Release the J-hook that attaches the LH 2nd row seat lower foot trim cover to the seat assembly.
  15. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat inner cable release motor electrical connector.
  16. Release the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row seat assembly harness to the underseat bracket.
  17. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat center buckle sensor electrical connector.
  18. Release the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row seat harness to the seat frame.
  19. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat controller electrical connectors (x2).
  20. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat outer cable release motor electrical connector.
  21. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat outer occupancy sensor electrical connector.
  22. Release the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row seat harness to the underseat bracket.
  23. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat outer seat airbag electrical connector.
  24. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat outer buckle sensor electrical connector.

    Note
    The connector is located on the outboard side of the outboard seat riser.
  25. Carefully maneuver the LH 2nd row seat harness through the outboard riser.
  26. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat inner side airbag, occupancy sensor and cable release motor electrical connectors.
  27. Release the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row seat harness to the seat assembly.

    Note
    The clip is located on the inboard side of the inboard seat riser.
  28. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat recliner inner easy entry microswitch electrical connector.
  29. Release the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row seat harness to the rear of the seat frame.
  30. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat center heat pad electrical connector.
  31. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat outer heat pad electrical connector.
  32. Release the clips (x3) that attach the LH 2nd row seat harness to the rear of the seat frame.
  33. Release the clips (x2) that attach the LH 2nd row seat outer curtain airbag and outer pretensioner connectors to the seat assembly, and then disconnect the connectors (x2).
  34. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat easy entry switch electrical connector.
  35. Disconnect the LH 2nd row seat recliner outer easy entry microswitch electrical connector.
  36. Release the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row seat harness from the rear of the seat frame.
  37. Carefully maneuver the LH 2nd row seat assembly harness through the seat frame, and then remove the harness from the assembly.

Install

  1. Carefully maneuver the LH 2nd row seat harness through the seat frame and into position.
  2. Secure the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row seat harness from the rear of the seat frame.
  3. Connect the LH 2nd row seat recliner outer easy entry microswitch electrical connector.
  4. Connect the LH 2nd row seat easy entry switch electrical connector.
  5. Connect the LH 2nd row seat outer curtain airbag and outer pretensioner electrical connectors, and then secure the clips (x2) that attach the connectors to the seat assembly.
  6. Install the clips (x3) that attach the LH 2nd row seat harness to the rear of the seat frame.
  7. Connect the LH 2nd row seat outer heat pad electrical connector.
  8. Connect the LH 2nd row seat center heat pad electrical connector.
  9. Secure the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row seat harness to the rear of the seat frame.
  10. Secure the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row seat harness to the seat frame.

    Note
    The clip is located on the inboard side of the seat riser.
  11. Connect the LH 2nd row seat inner side airbag, occupancy sensor and cable release motor electrical connectors.
  12. Carefully maneuver the LH 2nd row seat harness through the outer riser.
  13. Connect the LH 2nd row seat outer buckle sensor electrical connector.
  14. Connect the LH 2nd row seat outer seat airbag electrical connector.
  15. Secure the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row seat harness to the underseat bracket.
  16. Connect the LH 2nd row seat outer occupancy sensor electrical connector.
  17. Connect the LH 2nd row seat outer cable release motor electrical connector.
  18. Connect the LH 2nd row seat controller electrical connectors (x2).
  19. Install the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row seat harness to the seat frame.
  20. Connect the LH 2nd row seat center buckle sensor electrical connector.
  21. Install the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row seat assembly harness to the underseat bracket.
  22. Connect the LH 2nd row seat inner cable release motor electrical connector.
  23. Secure the J-hook that attaches the LH 2nd row seat lower foot trim cover to the seat assembly.
  24. Install the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row seat assembly harness to the center underseat bracket.
  25. Connect the LH 2nd row seat seat track position sensor electrical connector.
  26. Position the LH 2nd row seat assembly harness into the securing guide bracket, and then secure the clips (x2) that attach the harness to the bracket.
  27. Position the inboard and outboard seat riser covers onto the LH 2nd row inboard seat riser, and then secure the clips (x2) that attach the inboard and outboard covers to the seat riser.
  28. Install the screws (x3) that attach the inboard seat riser cover to the LH 2nd row inboard seat riser.
    2 Nm (1.5 lbs-ft)
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)

    Note
    The top screw has a torque value of 4 Nm and the bottom screws (x2) have a torque value of 2 Nm.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T20 socket
  29. Install the screw that attaches the outboard seat riser cover to the LH 2nd row inboard seat riser.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T20 socket
  30. Repeat step 27 through step 29 for the inboard seat riser.
  31. Position the LH 2nd row plastic seat back into the seat assembly, and then install the clips (x13) that attach the plastic seat back to the seat assembly.
  32. Zip up the LH 2nd row seat back upholstery on both sides, and then tuck the ends of the zippers underneath the upholstery.

    CAUTION
    Be careful not to pull the zipper off the track.
    Tip: Use a pick to move the zipper.
  33. Secure the J-hook that attaches the lower edge of the LH 2nd row seat back upholstery to the seat assembly.
  34. Secure the J-hooks (x6) that attach the rear toe kick to the seat assembly.

    Note
    Secure the inner clips (x4), and then secure the outer clips (x2).
  35. Fold the LH 2nd row seat back to the down position.
  36. Install the LH 2nd row seat into the vehicle. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (7 Seat) (Remove and Replace).

    It is not necessary to redeploy the vehicle firmware after the seat has been installed.
