Fascia Assembly - Front (Remove and Install)

Correction code 10011001 0.78 NOTE: Unless otherwise explicitly stated in the procedure, the above correction code and FRT reflect all of the work required to perform this procedure, including the linked procedures. Do not stack correction codes unless explicitly told to do so. NOTE: See Flat Rate Times to learn more about FRTs and how they are created. Remove

  1. Press the brake pedal to turn on drive rails.
  2. Use the touchscreen to set the air suspension ride height to “Very High”.
  3. Use the touchscreen to set the air suspension into "Jack Mode".
  4. Turn the steering wheel fully to the right.
  5. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the LH and RH underhood aprons. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the front underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Front (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
  9. Remove the bolts (x6) that attach the upper portion of the front fascia to the vehicle.
    7 Nm (5.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  10. Release the clip and the tabs (x8) that attach the LH front wheel arch liner cover to the LH front wheel arch liner, and then remove the cover from the liner.
  11. Remove the bolts (x2) and release the tab that attach the LH front wheel fairing to the valance, and then remove the fairing from the valance.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  12. Release the clips (x5) and tabs (x8) that attach the LH front fender garnish to the vehicle, disconnect the electrical connector, and then remove the fender garnish from the vehicle.
  13. Remove the clips (x3) that attach the LH front wheel arch liner to the valence.
  14. Remove the screw that attaches LH side of the front fascia assembly to the LH front fender.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
  15. Press the brake pedal to turn on drive rails.
  16. Turn the steering wheel fully to the left.
  17. Repeat step 10 through step 13 for the RH side of the vehicle.
  18. Remove the screw that attaches the front fascia assembly to the RH front fender.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket

  19. Apply protective tape to the edges of the LH and RH front fenders that are adjacent to the front fascia.

    Note
    This is to prevent fender paint damage when releasing the front fascia from the vehicle.

  20. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  21. Release the locking tabs, and then disconnect the front fascia assembly electrical connectors (x2).
  22. Remove the bolts (x3) and clips (x2) that attach the lower portion of the front fascia assembly to the valence.
    3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  23. With assistance, release the front fascia assembly from the LH and RH fender brackets, and then remove the assembly from the vehicle.

    Note
    Place the assembly on a protected surface to avoid damage.

Install

  1. With assistance, position the front fascia assembly onto the vehicle, and then slide the LH and RH side of the fascia into the fenders.
  2. Remove the protective tape from the LH and RH front fenders.
  3. Install the bolts (x3) and clips (x2) that attach the lower portion of the front fascia assembly to the valence.
    3 Nm (2.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  4. Connect the front fascia assembly electrical connectors (x2), and then engage the locking tabs.
  5. Install the screw that attaches LH side of the front fascia assembly to the LH front fender.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
  6. Install the clips (x3) that attach the LH front wheel arch liner to the valence.
  7. Position the LH front fender garnish onto the vehicle, connect the electrical connector, and then secure the clips (x5) and tabs (x8) that attach the fender garnish to the vehicle.
  8. Position the LH front wheel fairing to the valance, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the fairing to the valence.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  9. Position the LH front wheel arch liner cover onto the LH front wheel arch liner, and then install the clip and the tabs (x8) that attach the cover to the liner.
  10. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  11. Press the brake pedal to turn on drive rails.
  12. Turn the steering wheel fully to the left.
  13. Install the screw that attaches the front fascia assembly to the RH front fender.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket

  14. Repeat step 6 through step 9 for the RH side of the vehicle.
  15. Install the bolts (x6) that attach the upper portion of the front fascia to the vehicle.
    7 Nm (5.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  16. Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
  17. Install the front underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Front (Remove and Replace).
  18. Install the LH and RH underhood aprons. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace).
  19. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  20. Calibrate the LH and RH falcon wing doors.

    Note
    If the "Calibration Needed" message appears on the vehicle touchscreen, touch and hold Calibrate to calibrate the rear doors.
  21. Use the touchscreen to remove the air suspension from "Jack Mode".
  22. Use the touchscreen to set the air suspension ride height to “Standard”.
