Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (Without 2nd Row Bench Seats) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open all the doors and lower the front windows.
  2. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  3. In Toolbox, click the Actions tab, and then search for "BCS2L".
  4. Click PROC_REAR_MONO-SEAT-ENABLE-INSTALL-MODE, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.

    Note
    Verify the routine you are selecting is specific to "BCS2L", Select ‘X’ at top right of window to close once complete
  5. Remove the laptop from the vehicle.

    Do not close Toolbox as it will be needed to resume later.
  6. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the LH and RH sill panel trims. See Trim - Sill Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the 2nd row mid floor panel. See Floor Panel - Mid - 2nd Row (6 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove the LH and RH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the LH and RH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove the 2nd row rear floor panel. See Floor Panel - Rear - 2nd Row (6 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  12. Remove the LH 3rd row busbar duct. See Duct - Busbar - 3rd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  13. Move the 2nd row LH seat assembly fully backward using the comfort button.
  14. Remove the LH 2nd row seat post inner and outer trims. See Trim - Inner - Seat Post - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace) and Trim - Outer - Seat Post - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  15. Remove the LH 2nd row seat sliding plate. See Plate - Sliding - Seat - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  16. Remove the LH 2nd row seat sliding carpet. See Carpet - Sliding - Seat - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  17. Remove and discard the bolts (x7) that attach the front of the LH 2nd row seat tracks to the vehicle.
    33 Nm (24.3 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm socket
  18. Move the LH 2nd row seat fully forward.
  19. Remove and discard the bolts (x4) that attach the rear of the LH 2nd row seat tracks to vehicle.
    33 Nm (24.3 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm socket
  20. Adjust the LH 2nd row seat for removal.
  21. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  22. Release the tabs (x2) that attach the LH 2nd row seat inline harness bracket to the 2nd row front floor bracket, and then release the harness bracket upward from the floor bracket.
  23. Release the locking tab, and then disconnect the LH 2nd row seat harness connectors (x3).
  24. Release the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row seat harness to the LH side of the mid floor common bracket.
  25. With assistance, remove the LH 2nd row seat assembly from the vehicle.

Install

  1. With assistance, position the LH 2nd row seat into the vehicle.
  2. Connect the LH 2nd row seat harness connectors (x3), and then engage the connector lock.
  3. Secure the tabs (x2) that attach the LH 2nd row seat inline harness bracket to the 2nd row front floor bracket.

    Note
    Slide the tabs downward to engage.
  4. Secure the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row seat harness to the LH side of the mid floor common bracket.
  5. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  6. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  7. Reconnect a laptop with Toolbox to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  8. Click the Actions tab, and then search for "CAN Redeploy".
  9. Click Service CAN Redeploy, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  10. Reconnect a laptop with Toolbox to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  11. In Toolbox, click the Actions tab, and then search for "BCS2L".
  12. Click PROC_REAR_MONO-SEAT-ENABLE-INSTALL-MODE, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.

  13. Move the LH 2nd row seat fully forward.
  14. Loosely install new bolts (x4) that attach the rear of the LH 2nd row seat tracks to vehicle.
  15. Move the LH 2nd row seat fully rearward.
  16. Install new bolts (x7) that attach the front of the LH 2nd row seat tracks to the vehicle.
    33 Nm (24.3 lbs-ft)

    Follow the torque sequence shown in the image.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm socket
  17. Move the LH 2nd row seat fully forward.
  18. Tighten the bolts (x4) that attach the rear of the LH 2nd row seat tracks to vehicle.
    33 Nm (24.3 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm socket
  19. Move the LH 2nd row seat fully rearward.
  20. Install the LH 2nd row seat sliding plate. See Plate - Sliding - Seat - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  21. Install the LH 2nd row seat post inner and outer trims. See Trim - Inner - Seat Post - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace) and Trim - Outer - Seat Post - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  22. Move LH 2nd row seat fully forward.
  23. Install the LH 3rd row busbar duct. See Duct - Busbar - 3rd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  24. Install the 2nd row rear floor panel. See Floor Panel - Rear - 2nd Row (6 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  25. Install the LH and RH lower C-pillar trims. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  26. Install the LH and RH mid C-pillar trims. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove and Replace).
  27. Install the LH and RH side rear trunk garnishes. See Garnish - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace).
  28. Move the LH and RH 2nd row seats to the original position.
  29. Install the 2nd row mid floor panel. See Floor Panel - Mid - 2nd Row (6 Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  30. Install the 2nd row floor mat. See Floor Mat - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  31. Install the LH and RH rear sill panel trims. See Trim - Sill Panel - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  32. Calibrate the rear doors.

    Note
    If the "Calibration Needed" message appears on the vehicle touchscreen, touch and hold Calibrate to calibrate the rear doors.
  33. Move the driver front seat to the original position.
  34. Reconnect a laptop with Toolbox to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  35. In Toolbox, click PROC_REAR_MONO-SEAT-DISABLE-INSTALL-MODE, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  36. In Toolbox, click Calibrate 2nd Row Seat - Left PitchPROC_BCS2L_R2-L_CALIBRATE-S2L-PITCHModelX/tasks/PROC_BCS2L_R2-L_CALIBRATE-S2L-PITCH Tamarind/tasks/PROC_BCS2L_R2-L_CALIBRATE-S2L-PITCHLow Voltage Controllers Low Voltage Controllers, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  37. In Toolbox, click Calibrate 2nd Row Seat - Left TrackPROC_BCS2L_R2-L_CALIBRATE-S2L-TRACKModelX/tasks/PROC_BCS2L_R2-L_CALIBRATE-S2L-TRACK Tamarind/tasks/PROC_BCS2L_R2-L_CALIBRATE-S2L-TRACKLow Voltage Controllers Low Voltage Controllers, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  38. Disconnect the laptop from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  39. Raise the front windows and close the LH front door.
