1. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
2. Release RH wiper arm hose nozzle
   Note

   1x hose

   

3. Release LH wiper arm hose nozzle
   Note

   1x hose

   

4. Remove LH wiper arm nut cover
   Note

   1x cover

   

5. Remove RH wiper arm nut covers
   Note

   2x cover

   

6. Remove RH wiper arm nuts and release assembly
   Note

   2x nuts, 15mm, 32 Nm, Do not flex wiper arm to remove

   

   

7. Remove LH wiper arm nut and release assembly
   Note

   1x nut, 15mm, 32 Nm, Do not flex wiper arm to remove, Lower the hood slightly to fit wiper arm removal tool

   

   

   

8. Release cowl screen washer supply hose located above LH shock tower cover
   Note

   1x hose

   

9. Remove RH outer hood hinge cover
   Note

   1x clips

   

   

10. Remove LH outer hood hinge cover
    Note

    1x clips

    

    

11. Remove wiper cowl screen panel
    Note

    4x push clips, Pull cowl up out of lower windshield channel

    

    

    

12. Power off vehicle via center display
    Note

    Controls > Safety & Security > Power Off

    

13. Disconnect LV battery connector and First Responder Loop
    Note

    2x connectors, Lift up and release green locking tab, Pull black connector lock outwards to release connection, Release red lock tab on FRL

    

    

    

14. Release clip securing the supermanifold to battery pump supply hose from LV battery
    Note

    1x clip

    

    

15. Remove fasteners securing the LV battery and remove assembly
    Note

    3x bolts, 10mm, 9 Nm, 2x locators

    

    

    

16. Place absorbent material below chiller to battery pump hose at supermanifold
    Note

    Place absorbent material to catch coolant loss

    

    

17. Disconnect chiller to battery hose from supermanifold
    Note

    1x spring clip

    

    

    

18. Place absorbent material below battery coolant pump
    Note

    Place absorbent material to catch coolant loss

    

19. Release battery coolant temp sensor connection
    Note

    1x locking connector, Disengage red locking tab and slide tab outwards to release connection

    

    

20. Release supermanifold to battery supply hose from battery pump
    Note

    1x hose clip, 2x plugs, Plug both ends, Remove hose from vehicle

    

    

    

21. Secure supermanifold to battery pump supply hose to battery pump
    Note

    1x hose clip, Remove any plugs and secure hose, Perform push-pull-push test

    

    

22. Secure battery coolant temp sensor connection
    Note

    1x locking connector, Secure connector and fully engage red locking tab

    

    

23. Secure chiller to battery pump hose to the supermanifold
    Note

    1x hose clip, Remove any plugs and secure hose, Perform push-pull-push test

    

    

24. Remove absorbent material below chiller to battery pump hose at supermanifold and under battery pump
    Note

    Clean away excess residue as needed

    

    

    

    

25. Install LV battery to multi-system beam
    Note

    3x bolts, 10mm, 9 Nm. 2x locators

    

    

    

26. Install clip securing the supermanifold to battery pump supply hose onto LV battery
    Note

    1x clip

    

    

27. Install wiper cowl screen panel
    Note

    4x push clips, Secure cowl into lower windshield channel

    

    

    

28. Install LH outer hood hinge cover
    Note

    1x clips

    

    

29. Install RH outer hood hinge cover
    Note

    1x clips

    

    

30. Secure cowl screen washer supply hose located above LH shock tower cover
    Note

    1x hose

    

31. Install RH wiper arm assembly and secure nuts
    Note

    2x nuts, 15mm, 32 Nm, Line up wiper to reference mark on windshield

    

    

32. Install LH wiper arm assembly and secure nut
    Note

    1x nut, 15mm, 32 Nm

    

33. Secure LH wiper arm hose nozzle
    Note

    1x hose, Hose is routed above the arm pivot

    

34. Secure RH wiper arm hose nozzle
    Note

    1x hose, Hose is routed below the arm pivot

    

35. Install RH wiper arm nut covers
    Note

    2x cover

    

36. Install LH wiper arm nut cover
    Note

    1x cover

    

37. Remove coolant bottle cap

    

38. Fill coolant to the proper level
    Note

    Ensure that the fluid level filled to the Max line

    

39. Connect First Responder Loop and LV battery connector
    Note

    2x connectors, Secure FRL first, Seat LV battery connection and push black connector lock inwards to secure, Engage upper locking tab when fully seated

    

    

40. Release IP service panel
    Note

    4x tabs, 2x datums

    

    

    

41. Using laptop connect to vehicle with ethernet diag kit and Toolbox 3
    Note

    Open Toolbox 3 website and establish connection to the vehicle, https://toolbox.teslamotors.com, For local connection issues with Toolbox 3 refer to https://toolbox.teslamotors.com/articles/43695, Media converter box is powered by laptop using USB, Ethernet connection will provide communication

    

    

    

42. Select "Actions/Autodiag" tab and search for "Purge"

    

43. Select Coolant Air PurgeTEST_VCFRONT_X_THERMAL-COOLANT-AIR-PURGEGen3/tasks/TEST_VCFRONT_X_THERMAL-COOLANT-AIR-PURGE Model3/tasks/TEST_VCFRONT_X_THERMAL-COOLANT-AIR-PURGELow Voltage Controllers Low Voltage ControllersThermal / Actions - Coolant Air PurgeService Mode Service Plus Factory Mode Developer Thermal / Coolant System - Coolant Air PurgeService Mode Service Plus Factory Mode Developer hv / Procedures - Transport Service Plus Developer , click "Run", and allow routine to complete
    Note

    Make sure vehicle is not in drive state, Routine is still running despite the stop message, Coolant pumps will be audible, Test lasts approximately 10 mins, Putting vehicle into drive state will stop this routine, Monitor levels as required

    

    

    

44. Disconnect Toolbox 3 from vehicle and remove laptop and ethernet diag kit

    

    

    

45. Install IP service panel
    Note

    2x tabs, 4 datums, Slide forward engaging datums then secure tabs upward into IP

    

    

46. Inspect coolant level and top off as necessary
    Note

    Ensure that the fluid level is at the Max line, Top off fluid as required

    

    

47. Install coolant bottle cap

    

48. Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
49. Remove vehicle from lift
    Note

    Lower rack arms fully and remove them from under vehicle, Remove air suspension from "Jack Mode"
