Overlay
- Open the LH front door.
- Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
- Remove the wiper module. See Wiper Module (Remove and Replace).

Remove LH front floor mat

Remove LH IP end cap
Note7x clips, 1x datum, Ensure clip at IP carrier is released fully before removal

Remove LH mid A-pillar trim
Note2x clips, 3x datums, Release clips from upper A-pillar and IP sub assembly, Lift mid A-pillar trim out of lower A-pillar trim

Remove LH front door sill trim

Note8x clips, 3x datums

Remove LH lower A-pillar trim
Note1x bolt, T25, 5 Nm, 2x clips

Remove LH outboard footwell
cover
Note2x magnets, 2x datums
-
Remove LH inboard footwell cover
Note1x cover, 1x clip, 1x datum, 1x screw, 8 mm, 1 Nm

Remove LH console side carpet
Note11x clips, 2x datums
-
Fold LH front cabin carpet aside for
access
- Open the RH front door.
- Move the RH front seat backward.

Remove RH front floor mat
-
Remove RH footwell cover
Note3x magnets, 1x connector, 4x datums
-
Remove RH console side carpet
Note11x clips, 2x datums

Remove RH front door sill trim

Note8x clips, 3x datums, Partially release seal if needed

Remove RH IP end cap
Note3x clips

Remove RH mid A-pillar trim
Note2x clips, 3x datums, Release clips from upper A-pillar and IP sub assembly, Lift mid A-pillar trim out of lower A-pillar trim

Remove RH lower A-pillar trim
Note1x bolt, T25, 5 Nm, 2x clips, 1x datum
-
Fold RH front cabin carpet aside for
access
-
Release harness from RH footrest
panel
Note1x clip

Release RH footrest panel
Note2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, 2x nuts, 10mm, 5 Nm
-
Remove RH footrest panel
NoteFold RH primary support carpet up, Rotate RH footrest panel out of vehicle
-
Disconnect side repeater cameras
connector X870 at car computer
Note1x connector, Release red tab then disconnect
-
Raise and support the vehicle.
-
Remove the LH front wheel center
cap.
-
Loosen LH front wheel
Note5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm
-
Remove RH front wheel center cap
Note1x cap
-
Loosen RH front wheel
Note5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm
-
Raise vehicle partially and lower onto
locks
NoteSet vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side

Remove the LH front wheel.
-
Release rear portion of LH front
fender garnish
Note3x clips, 2x tabs, Starting from the rear release garnish to access rocker
-
Release clips securing rear portion of
the LH front wheel house liner and remove from vehicle
Note7x clips, 1x push nut
-
Remove RH front wheel
Note5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm
-
Release rear portion of RH front
fender garnish
Note3x clips, 2x tabs, Starting from the rear release garnish to access rocker
-
Remove rear portion of RH front wheel
liner
Note7x clips, 1x fan clip, Carefully rest rear portion of wheel line on brake rotor
-
Disconnect LH front repeater
Note2x connectors
-
Release LH grommet from body
NoteWith a razor blade, carefully cut the electrical tape away exposing the rubber dust boot
-
Remove electrical tape securing
harness bundle to rubber dust boot
-
Release the terminal 1 lock on the
double connector side of coax overlay cable
NoteUsing the pin drag kit, carefully lift the hold down tab
-
Remove the double connector from the
overlay coax cable
NoteUsing the pin drag kit, pull the coax away from the connector
-
Wrap the overlay coax cable with
harness tape before installation
NoteUse Anti-abrasion tape and wrap the entire length of the coax cable to protect the cable for damage when it is installed the vehicle
-
Feed the previously removed coax
terminal through the LH wheel liner and dust boot towards the interior cabin
NoteOnce the coax is exposed on the other side of the dust boot carefully pull till you have roughly 12 inches of cable towards the interior of the vehicle
-
Pull the LH coax over through the
bulkhead and into the interior cabin
NotePull harness toward car computer under dashboard

Overlay the LH coax wire onto the body
harness and secure it to the main dash harness
Note7x zip-ties, Trim off excess material after harness has been secured
-
Secure coax overlay through LH wheel
liner and frunk harness
Note4x zip-ties, Trim off excess material after harness has been secured

Depin the LH side coax cable (Terminal
1) from the connector X820
NoteVerify that you are removing the correct side (1 & 2, where 1 is the LH repeater and 2 is the RH repeater) Using MDLS drag pin tool set carefully lift the purple locking tab up and out of the connector housing

Remove the coax cable from the
connector X820
NoteUsing the pin drag kit, carefully lift the hold down tab an simultaneously pull the coax away from the connector
-
Insert the connector locking tab and
reconnect X820 together

Cut off the vehicle side repeater coax
terminal and tape to vehicle harness
NoteCut the coax connector only
-
Connect LH front repeater
Note2x connectors, Support repeater from exterior to prevent damage to retaining clips
-
Secure LH grommet onto body
NoteUse electrical tape to wrap the end of the dust boot
-
Install LH front wheel house liner and
secure rear portion of the wheel house liner to the body
Note7x clips, 1x push nut
-
Secure rear portion of LH front fender
garnish
Note3x clips, 2x tabs, Carefully secure and fully engage clips
-
Install the LH front wheel.
-
Disconnect RH front repeater
Note2x connectors
-
Release RH grommet from body
NoteWith a razor blade, carefully cut the electrical tape away exposing the rubber dust boot

Remove electrical tape securing

Release the terminal 2 lock on the
double connector side of coax overlay cable
NoteUsing the pin drag kit, carefully lift the hold down tab

Remove the double connector from the
overlay coax cable
NoteUsing the pin drag kit, pull the coax away from the connector
-
Wrap the overlay coax cable with
harness tape before installation
NoteUse Anti-abrasion tape and wrap the entire length of the coax cable to protect the cable for damage when it is installed the vehicle

Feed the previously removed coax
terminal through the RH wheel liner and dust boot towards the interior cabin
NoteOnce the coax is exposed on the other side of the dust boot carefully pull till you have roughly 12 inches of cable towards the interior of the vehicle

Pull the RH coax over through the
bulkhead and into the interior cabin
NotePull harness toward car behind car computer

Overlay the RH coax wire onto the
harness and secure it to the car computer harness
Note3x zip-ties, Trim off excess material after harness has been secured

Secure coax overlay through RH wheel
liner and frunk harness
Note4x zip-ties, Trim off excess material after harness has been secured

Depin the LH side coax cable (Terminal
2) from the connector X820
NoteVerify that you are removing the correct side (1 & 2, where 1 is the LH repeater and 2 is the RH repeater) Using MDLS drag pin tool set carefully lift the purple locking tab up and out of the connector housing

Remove the coax cable from the
connector X820
NoteUsing the pin drag kit, carefully lift the hold down tab an simultaneously pull the coax away from the connector
-
Insert the connector locking tab and
reconnect X820 together

Cut off the vehicle side repeater coax
terminal and tape to vehicle harness
NoteCut the coax connector only

Secure side repeater cameras connector
X870 onto car computer

Connect RH front repeater
Note2x connectors, Support repeater from exterior to prevent damage to retaining clips

Secure RH grommet onto body
NoteUse electrical tape to wrap the end of the dust boot

Secure rear portion of RH front wheel
liner
Note4x clips

Secure rear portion of RH front fender
garnish
Note3x clips, 2x tabs, Fully secure and carefully engage clips

Install RH front wheel
Note5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm, Start lug nuts by hand before using power tool
-
Lower vehicle until tires are touching
ground
NoteRaise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered

Torque RH front wheel
Note5x nuts, 21mm, 175 Nm
-
Install RH front wheel center
cap
Note1x cap, Verify emblem is aligned with valve stem
-
Torque the LH front wheel lug
nuts.

Install the LH front wheel center
cap.
-
Fold LH main carpet back into
place
-
Install LH console side carpet
Note11x clips, 2x datums

Install LH inboard footwell
cover
Note1x cover, 1x clip, 1x datum, 1x screw, 8 mm, 1 Nm, Align datums and footwell vent before installing screw

Install LH outboard footwell
cover
Note2x magnets, 2x datums
-
Install LH lower A-pillar trim
Note1x bolt, T25, 5 Nm, 2x clips
-
Install LH mid A-pillar trim
Note2x clips, 3x datums, Insert mid A-pillar trim into lower A-pillar trim, Secure clips into upper A-pillar and IP sub assembly, Verify weather seal is seated properly

Install LH IP end cap
Note7x clips, 1x datum

Install LH front door sill trim

Install RH footrest panel
NoteRotate RH footrest panel onto vehicle, Fold RH primary support carpet down

Secure RH footrest panel
Note2x bolts, 10mm, 5 Nm, 2x nuts, 10mm, 5 Nm

Secure harness to RH footrest
panel

Fold RH main carpet back into
place

Install RH footwell cover
Note3x magnets, 4x datums, 1x connector

Install RH lower A-pillar trim
Note1x bolt, T25, 5 Nm, 2x clips, 1x datum

Install RH mid A-pillar trim
Note2x clips, 3x datums, Verify weather seal is seated properly

Install RH IP end cap

Install RH front door sill trim

Install RH console side carpet

Install RH front floor mat
- Install the wiper module. See Wiper Module (Remove and Replace).
- Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
- Press brake pedal to turn on drive rails
-
Turn steering wheel back to
center
-
Set air suspension ride height to
“Medium”
NoteUsing center display, Controls > Suspension > ''Medium'

Activate Service Mode using the
touchscreen.
-
Unlock Gateway
NoteAfter vehicle has been put into "Service Mode", place keycard on center console to turn on drive rails, hold down the brake pedal, while keep pressing right hand signal button simultaneously for at least 10 seconds, "GTW UNLOCKING" should pop up on the UI right next to the VIN during these 10 seconds, once gateway is unlocked "GTW UNLOCKED 5400" will be displayed on the UI next to the VIN, the gateway will remain unlocked for 90 minutes, follow steps on Toolbox article #5582900 for any additional information

Reset DAS via Service UI
NoteIn Service mode navigate to Driver Assist > Cameras > Reset DAS
- Run ODIN routine PROC_ICE_X_EXIT-SERVICE-MODEvia Toolbox:(link)
- Raise both front windows.
- Close the LH front door.
- Vehicle will need to be driven by customer to complete the calibration procedure. During this time DAS functions will be completely unavailable
