  2. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
  3. Remove the wiper module. See Wiper Module (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove LH front floor mat
  5. Remove LH IP end cap

  26. Disconnect side repeater cameras connector X870 at car computer

  32. Raise vehicle partially and lower onto locks

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side
  33. Remove the LH front wheel.
  34. Release rear portion of LH front fender garnish

  35. Release clips securing rear portion of the LH front wheel house liner and remove from vehicle

  37. Release rear portion of RH front fender garnish

  38. Remove rear portion of RH front wheel liner

  40. Release LH grommet from body

    With a razor blade, carefully cut the electrical tape away exposing the rubber dust boot
  41. Remove electrical tape securing harness bundle to rubber dust boot
  42. Release the terminal 1 lock on the double connector side of coax overlay cable

    Using the pin drag kit, carefully lift the hold down tab
  43. Remove the double connector from the overlay coax cable

    Using the pin drag kit, pull the coax away from the connector
  44. Wrap the overlay coax cable with harness tape before installation

    Use Anti-abrasion tape and wrap the entire length of the coax cable to protect the cable for damage when it is installed the vehicle
  45. Feed the previously removed coax terminal through the LH wheel liner and dust boot towards the interior cabin

    Once the coax is exposed on the other side of the dust boot carefully pull till you have roughly 12 inches of cable towards the interior of the vehicle
  46. Pull the LH coax over through the bulkhead and into the interior cabin

    Pull harness toward car computer under dashboard
  47. Overlay the LH coax wire onto the body harness and secure it to the main dash harness

  49. Depin the LH side coax cable (Terminal 1) from the connector X820

    Verify that you are removing the correct side (1 & 2, where 1 is the LH repeater and 2 is the RH repeater) Using MDLS drag pin tool set carefully lift the purple locking tab up and out of the connector housing
  50. Remove the coax cable from the connector X820

  51. Insert the connector locking tab and reconnect X820 together

  105. Press brake pedal to turn on drive rails

    After vehicle has been put into "Service Mode", place keycard on center console to turn on drive rails, hold down the brake pedal, while keep pressing right hand signal button simultaneously for at least 10 seconds, "GTW UNLOCKING" should pop up on the UI right next to the VIN during these 10 seconds, once gateway is unlocked "GTW UNLOCKED 5400" will be displayed on the UI next to the VIN, the gateway will remain unlocked for 90 minutes, follow steps on Toolbox article #5582900 for any additional information
  110. Reset DAS via Service UI
