Overlay

  1. Open both front doors and lower both front windows.
  2. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
  3. Remove the wiper module. See Wiper Module (Remove and Replace).
  4. Move the RH front seat backward.
  5. Remove RH front floor mat
  6. Remove RH footwell cover

  12. Fold RH front cabin carpet aside for access
  13. Release harness from RH footrest panel

  16. Disconnect side repeater cameras connector X870 at car computer

  17. Raise and support the vehicle.
  18. Remove RH front wheel center cap

  20. Raise vehicle partially and lower onto locks

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Make sure there's an audible click of the locks on both sides before lowering, otherwise vehicle may tilt to the side
  21. Remove RH front wheel

  22. Release rear portion of RH front fender garnish

    3x clips, 2x tabs, Starting from the rear release garnish to access rocker
  23. Remove rear portion of RH front wheel liner

    7x clips, 1x fan clip, Carefully rest rear portion of wheel line on brake rotor
  24. Disconnect RH front repeater

  25. Release RH grommet from body

    With a razor blade, carefully cut the electrical tape away exposing the rubber dust boot
  26. Remove electrical tape securing harness bundle to rubber dust boot
  27. Release the terminal 2 lock on the double connector side of coax overlay cable

    Using the pin drag kit, carefully lift the hold down tab
  28. Remove the double connector from the overlay coax cable

    Using the pin drag kit, pull the coax away from the connector
  29. Wrap the overlay coax cable with harness tape before installation

    Use Anti-abrasion tape and wrap the entire length of the coax cable to protect the cable for damage when it is installed the vehicle
  30. Feed the previously removed coax terminal through the RH wheel liner and dust boot towards the interior cabin

    Once the coax is exposed on the other side of the dust boot carefully pull till you have roughly 12 inches of cable towards the interior of the vehicle
  31. Pull the RH coax over through the bulkhead and into the interior cabin

    Pull harness toward car behind car computer
  32. Overlay the RH coax wire onto the harness and secure it to the car computer harness

    3x zip-ties, Trim off excess material after harness has been secured

  34. Depin the LH side coax cable (Terminal 2) from the connector X820

    Verify that you are removing the correct side (1 & 2, where 1 is the LH repeater and 2 is the RH repeater) Using MDLS drag pin tool set carefully lift the purple locking tab up and out of the connector housing
  35. Remove the coax cable from the connector X820

    Using the pin drag kit, carefully lift the hold down tab an simultaneously pull the coax away from the connector
  36. Insert the connector locking tab and reconnect X820 together

  38. Cut off the vehicle side repeater coax terminal and tape to vehicle harness

  45. Torque RH front wheel

  58. Install the wiper module. See Wiper Module (Remove and Replace).
  59. Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Install).
  60. Press brake pedal to turn on drive rails
  61. Turn steering wheel back to center
  62. Set air suspension ride height to “Medium”

  63. Activate Service Mode using the touchscreen.
  64. Unlock Gateway

    After vehicle has been put into "Service Mode", place keycard on center console to turn on drive rails, hold down the brake pedal, while keep pressing right hand signal button simultaneously for at least 10 seconds, "GTW UNLOCKING" should pop up on the UI right next to the VIN during these 10 seconds, once gateway is unlocked "GTW UNLOCKED 5400" will be displayed on the UI next to the VIN, the gateway will remain unlocked for 90 minutes, follow steps on Toolbox article #5582900 for any additional information
  65. Reset DAS via Service UI

  67. Raise both front windows.
  68. Close the LH front door.
  69. Vehicle will need to be driven by customer to complete the calibration procedure. During this time DAS functions will be completely unavailable
