Applique - Spine - Center (Remove and Replace)

Remove
- Remove the headliner. See Headliner (Remove and Install).

Carefully disconnect the ultrasonic
sensor electrical connector from the center spine applique.
- Remove the LH rear door trim lower garnish. See Garnish - Lower - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH upper rear door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - Upper - LH (Remove & Replace).
- Remove the LH rear upper rear door trim bracket. See Bracket - Rear Door Trim - Upper - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH front upper rear door trim bracket. See Bracket - Rear Door Trim - Upper - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH center rear door trim bracket. See Bracket - Rear Door Trim - Center - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the mid rear LH door trim gap hider. See Gap Hider - Door Trim - LH - Rear - Mid (Remove and Replace).

Lower the LH rear door.
NoteMay need to assist the door to close.
- Remove the LH upper rear door glass assembly. See Door Glass Assembly - Rear - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).

Place suitable protective cover on the
2nd row seats.

Enter the vehicle and close the LH
rear door from inside.
NoteAccess the rooftop through the upper rear door opening.

Release the clips (x7) that attach the
center spine applique to the body, and then remove applique from the vehicle.
NoteStarting from the front, use a hydroblade to cut through and work around the center spine applique.NoteSeparate the urethane from the applique; partially lift the LH side of the applique to gain access to the RH side.NoteUse glass cleaner to lubricate the blade.NoteCarefully release the clips from the center spine applique, but do not damage the seal on the RH upper glass.
Install

Remove excess urethane from the roof
and the center spine applique carrier to prepare for installation.
NoteClean roof surface area with IPA wipes. Allow 1 minute for dry time before continuing.
- Open the LH rear door.

Apply primer onto the roof and the
center spine applique carrier following the urethane path.

Apply primer onto the center spine
applique following the urethane path.

Prepare the caulking gun and
urethane.
NoteOpening must be 8 mm wide and 14 mm tall.

Apply urethane to the center spine
applique following the primer patch.
NoteFill any gaps with urethane to ensure consistent bead.

Enter the vehicle and close the LH
rear door from the inside.
NoteAccess to the rooftop through the upper rear door opening.

With an assistant, install the center
spine applique.
Notex7 clips.NoteAlign the center spine applique onto the vehicle.NoteConnect the ultrasonic sensor electrical connector.NotePress down firmly and ensure all the clips are fully engaged.

Open the LH rear door partially.
- Install the LH upper rear door glass assembly. See Door Glass Assembly - Rear - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the mid rear LH door trim gap hider. See Gap Hider - Door Trim - LH - Rear - Mid (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH center rear door trim bracket. See Bracket - Rear Door Trim - Center - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH front upper rear door trim bracket. See Bracket - Rear Door Trim - Upper - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH rear upper rear door trim bracket. See Bracket - Rear Door Trim - Upper - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH upper rear door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - Upper - LH (Remove & Replace).
- Install the LH rear door trim lower garnish. See Garnish - Lower - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the headliner. See Headliner (Remove and Install).
- Verify that the Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and LTE are functioning properly.
