Module - Ultrasonic Door Sensors - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the front windows.
  2. Remove the LH rear door trim lower garnish. See Garnish - Lower - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the LH rear door trim decor. See Decor - Trim - Rear Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the LH rear door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  6. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  7. Release the black locking tab, and then disconnect the LH ultrasonic door sensors module electrical connector.
  8. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the LH ultrasonic door sensors module to the LH rear door assembly, and then remove the module from the vehicle.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T20 socket

Install

  1. Position the LH ultrasonic door sensors module into the LH rear door assembly, and then install the screws (x2) that attach the module to the assembly.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • T20 socket
  2. Connect the LH ultrasonic door sensors module electrical connector, and then engage the locking tab.
  3. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  4. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install the LH rear door trim panel. See Panel - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the LH rear door trim decor. See Decor - Trim - Rear Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the LH rear door trim lower garnish. See Garnish - Lower - Door Trim - Rear - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Release the IP service panel.

    Note
    Release the top tabs and slide the panel rearward.
  9. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
  10. In Toolbox, click the Actions tab, and then search for "Service-Redeploy".
  11. Click SERVICE CAN REDEPLOY, and then click Run and allow the routine to complete.

    Note
    The routine will state pass but the update will continue to run in the background. The UI will show update progress.

    Click the "X" at top right of the window to close once complete.
  12. Disconnect Toolbox 3 and remove the laptop from the vehicle.
  13. Install the IP service panel.

    Note
    Slide the panel forward to engage the datums, and then secure the tabs upward into the IP.
  14. Calibrate the rear doors.

    Note
    If the "Calibration Needed" message appears on the vehicle touchscreen, touch and hold Calibrate to calibrate the rear doors
  15. Raise the front windows and close the LH front door.
