HV Battery (RWD) (Structural Pack) (1-Phase to 3-Phase) (Retrofit)

Note
Use this procedure to remove a 3-Phase HV Battery and modify a new available 1-Phase HV Battery Pack to be used in the vehicle.

Procedure

  1. Remove the HV Battery from the vehicle and leave the battery on the HV Battery table. See GUID-62FA4EBF-661E-4EF5-B60A-1EA8192D27A5.html.

    Note
    Do not load the old HV Battery onto the crate at this stage.
  2. Raise the new HV Battery off the crate and lower the new battery onto a second HV battery table. See GUID-62FA4EBF-661E-4EF5-B60A-1EA8192D27A5.html.
  3. Remove the 3-Phase Power Conversion System from the old HV battery. See GUID-90BF07B6-1309-4516-99A3-EB5DEB7CF614.html.
  4. Remove the 3-Phase AC Filter Harness into the new HV battery. See GUID-B31A2177-94A5-41CA-96B3-B7E3D2BC9A32.html.
  5. Remove the 1-Phase Power Conversion System from the new HV battery. See GUID-90BF07B6-1309-4516-99A3-EB5DEB7CF614.html.
  6. Remove the 1-Phase AC Filter Harness from the new HV battery. See GUID-F859B733-F02E-4E57-B550-CBE60EC53DBD.html.
  7. Install and hand tighten the bolts (x2) for the pyrotechnic battery disconnect into the ancillary bay of the old HV battery.

    Note
    Do not install the pyrotechnic battery disconnect. Only install the bolts.
  8. Install the pyrotechnic battery disconnect insulators onto the bolts of the pyrotechnic disconnect.
  9. Install the 3-Phase Power Conversion System from the old HV Battery into the new HV battery. See GUID-90BF07B6-1309-4516-99A3-EB5DEB7CF614.html.
  10. Install a new 3-Phase AC Filter Harness into the new HV battery. See GUID-B31A2177-94A5-41CA-96B3-B7E3D2BC9A32.html.
  11. Install the ancillary bay cover from the old HV Battery onto the new HV battery. See GUID-AA422E88-42FE-46CA-A140-3EF69E56C48D.html
  12. Install the ancillary bay cover from the new HV Battery onto the old HV battery. See GUID-64D9519C-4AA8-415F-8522-9FAE2CE82E81.html

    Use insulation tape to cover the HV Connector Header doubler opening.
  13. Load the old HV battery onto the crate and then install the new HV battery onto the vehicle. See GUID-62FA4EBF-661E-4EF5-B60A-1EA8192D27A5.html.
