Washer Nozzles (Adjust)

Adjustment

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Apply tape to the windscreen directly above the washer blades to help positioning the washer nozzle target points.

  3. Mark the locations for the LH washer nozzle targets on the tape.
    All targets are 0.4 in (1 cm) above the wiper blade. Measured from the center tab of the wiper blade, the targets are:
    • 7.5 in (19 cm) to the left
    • 6.7 in (17cm) to the right
  4. If the vehicle is equipped with an arm mounted washer nozzle, mark the location for the arm mounted nozzle target on the tape. The target is 2 in (5 cm) above the wiper blade. Measured from the center tab of the wiper blade, the target is 11.2 in (28.5 cm) to the right.
  5. Mark the locations for the RH washer nozzle targets on the tape.
    All targets are 0.4 in (1 cm) above the wiper blade. Measured from the center tab of the wiper blade, the targets are:
    • 6.7 in (17 cm) to the left
    • 5.9 in (15 cm) to the right
  6. Operate the washers briefly to check the aim of the washer nozzles.

  7. Using a 90 degree miniature pick, adjust the nozzles if necessary.
  8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 until all nozzles are aimed correctly.
  9. Remove the tape from the windshield.
  10. Close the hood.
