Hose - Super bottle To Powertrain Coolant Supply (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Move the vehicle to a 2 post lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  2. Remove the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
  4. Disconnect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  5. Remove the 12V battery. See 12V/LV Battery (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the outer HVAC plenum duct. See Duct - HVAC Plenum - Outer (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the front aero shield panel. See Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
  8. Release the clips along the bottom edge of the RH wheel arch liner.
  9. Install a bungee strap to pull the RH front wheel arch liner away from the HV battery and expose the coolant hoses.
  10. Position a coolant drain under the front RH corner of the HV battery.
  11. Release the clip and disconnect the Superbottle to powertrain coolant supply hose from the rear powertrain supply hose at the RH side of the vehicle, and then immediately plug the male and female fittings.
  12. Release the clips (x2) that attach the Superbottle to powertrain coolant supply hose to the body.
  13. Remove coolant drain container out from under the vehicle, lower the vehicle, and move a coolant catcher to under the front of the vehicle.
  14. Release the clips (x2) that attach the Superbottle to powertrain coolant supply hose to the battery beam.
  15. Disconnect the electrical harness from the Superbottle to powertrain coolant supply hose temperature sensor connector.
  16. Release the clip, disconnect the Superbottle to powertrain coolant supply hose from the Superbottle, and remove the hose from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Connect the Superbottle to powertrain coolant supply hose to the Superbottle, fasten the clip, and perform a Push-Pull-Push test of the connection.

  2. Connect the electrical harness to the Superbottle to powertrain coolant supply hose temperature sensor connector.
  3. Fasten the clips (x2) that attach the Superbottle to powertrain coolant supply hose to the battery beam.
  4. Remove the coolant catcher from under the vehicle, raise the vehicle, and move the coolant drain collector to under the RH front of the HV battery.
  5. Fasten the clips (x2) that attach the Superbottle to powertrain coolant supply hose to the body.
  6. Remove the plugs from both fittings, immediately connect the Superbottle to powertrain coolant supply hose to the rear powertrain supply hose, fasten the clip, and perform a Push-Pull-Push test of the connection.
  7. Move the coolant drain collector out from under the vehicle.
  8. Remove the bungee cord from the vehicle, and then move the RH front wheel arch liner back into position.
  9. Fasten the clips along the bottom edge of the RH wheel arch liner.
  10. Install the front aero shield panel. See Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
  11. Install the 12V battery. See 12V/LV Battery (Remove and Replace).
  12. Connect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  13. Perform a cooling system vacuum refill. See Cooling System (Vacuum Refill).
  14. Install the outer HVAC plenum duct. See Duct - HVAC Plenum - Outer (Remove and Replace).
  15. Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
  16. Install the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  17. Remove the vehicle from the 2 post lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
