Jumper Harness - Charge Port Inlet (Busbar Type) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open all the doors and lower all the windows.
  2. Open the hood, trunk, and charge port door.
  3. Remove the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  5. Disconnect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  6. Perform the charge port voltage check procedure. See Charge Port Voltage Check.
  7. Remove the 2nd row LH seat back. See Seat Back - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  8. Release the trunk carpet from the isofix bars on the LH side.
  9. Remove the trunk garnish. See Garnish - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove the trunk floor trim. See Trim - Floor - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  12. Remove the LH trunk side trim. See Trim - Side - Trunk - LH (Remove and Replace).
  13. Release the locking tabs from the charge port low voltage connectors (x2), and then disconnect the connectors (x2) from the charge port.

    CAUTION
    DO NOT push down on the red locking tab. Pull the tab away from the connector until the connector is unlocked, and then continue pulling to release the connector.
    Tip: Gently lift the black connector tab in order to remove the white locking tab from the 12-pin low voltage connector.
  14. Release the clip that attaches the charge port jumper cable to the charge port busbar.
  15. Disconnect the charge port jumper cable from the ECU and remove the harness from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Connect the charge port jumper cable to the ECU.
  2. Secure the clip that attaches the charge port jumper cable to the charge port busbar.
  3. Connect the charge port low voltage connectors (x2), and then secure the locking tabs.
  4. Install the LH trunk side trim. See Trim - Side - Trunk - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install the trunk sill trim. See Trim - Sill - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the trunk floor trim. See Trim - Floor - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the trunk garnish. See Garnish - Trunk (Remove and Replace).
  8. Secure the trunk carpet from the isofix bars on the LH side.
  9. Install the 2nd row LH seat back. See Seat Back - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace).
  10. Connect 12V power. See 12V/LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  11. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  12. Install the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  13. Raise all the windows and close all the doors.
