Axle Lifting - 4-Post Lift

Procedure

Do not work on an incorrectly supported vehicle.
  1. Drive the vehicle on the 4-post lift.
  2. Put wheel chocks (x2) at the rear wheels.
  3. Fully lift the vehicle.
  4. Lift the vehicle's front axle.

    Note
    Position the axle jack under the front suspension. Extend the jack pads and position them under the front lower lateral link and align the pads with the fasteners that support the front damper assembly.
  5. Lower the vehicle's front axle.
  6. Remove the wheel chocks (x2) from the rear wheels and put wheel chocks (x2) at the front wheels.
  7. Lift the vehicle's rear axle.

    Note
    Position the axle jack under the rear suspension. Extend the jack pads and position them under the rear lower aft link and align the pads with the fasteners that connect the rear wheel hubs.
  8. Lower the vehicle's rear axle. and then remove the wheel chocks from the front wheels.
  9. Remove the vehicle from the 4-post lift.
