LV Maintainer (Connect and Disconnect)

CAUTION
Before disconnecting the LV maintainer, make sure windows are not moved for at least 1 minute. Failure to wait before disconnecting can result in component damage.

Connect

  1. Enable Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  2. Release the positive terminal cover.
  3. Secure the LV maintainer positive terminal to the jump post.

    CAUTION
    To avoid damaging the vehicle, DO NOT allow the positive cable to make contact with other metal components.
  4. Secure the LV maintainer negative terminal to the VCFront bracket bolt (as indicated on the VCFront label).
  5. Connect the LV maintainer to a power supply, and then power on.

Disconnect

  1. Power off the LV maintainer.
  2. Release the negative terminal connection from the vehicle first, and then release the positive terminal.
  3. Install the positive terminal cover.
  4. Confirm that the LV battery State Of Charge (SOC) is above 73% and Battery State is Charge or Standby.
